You have the denied boarding regulation , but from reading the link below , Ryanair have met their obligations , and a strike is considered extraordinary and beyond their control , I think it's best to view your travel insurance policy to see what is covered for you to claim any compensation .

It's very annoying , and we fly on Sunday to Lanzarote with BA , even though we're staying in a villa I booked a package with them ( just not using the package accommodation ) I need to look at what protection I will get if the problem carries on , hopefully by the weekend there will be no problems .
