Are you looking for B & B, A1 etc?

Along the main promenade there are a lot of hotels on the beach with plenty to do at night. The Hilton, Jolieville, marriott, Sonesta Club (a little out the way but within walking distance) and sonesta beach resort.

If staying this close to the centre i wouldnt personally bother with A1 basically because it is always cheaper to eat out, even with kids. There are an array of fabulous restaurants to choose from, on the beach, to the main centre of Naama bay.

There is another hotel that Briarskeg has been too that is in the centre itself. I always stay at the sonesta beach resort, next year will be my 5th time in 3 years.

If you would like a more quieter time for relaxing then the Coral sea resort is a favourite on here, you will need transport to get you into the bay, and need to barter, but wont cost too much. Also all these hotels are all inclusive, if that is your choice.

Sorry i saw the rest of your post, i dont do DIY, only go through Portland with flights and accommodation, or thomson, so cannot help with that.

Sharm is definitely the best choice for you for a tan at that time of year - we've been twice - both times at Easter 2003/2006 (so similar weather) - one a package and one a DIY.

Try xl for cheap flights - for a cheap hotel try the Hotel Kahramana - right in the thick of it - literally seconds away from the beach & restaurants.
