How large in miles is the resort?

From this map, around 6km (3.3 miles) North to South.

How many hotels are there now?
How many resturants?

Virtually impossible to answer, as some will have been started/built/redeveloped/closed since last year's holiday season.

How much is a pint of lager?
3 Course Me

Again, virtually impossible to answer, as the first post-EU season has not yet started, so prices are an unknown quantity.

How many UK Airports depart for Bulgaria now

As far as I'm aware, none...they tend not to be very aerodynamic

Hi me and my boyfriend 18 and 20 are thinking about booking a week at the Victoria Palace but wanted to ask some questions first?
1.Does anyone know how far away the Victoria Palace is from the main resort with bars and restarants?
2.Is there many bars, clubs and restaraunts that are reasonably priced?
3. Is there a waterpark nearby?
4. Is there many watersports e.g. jet skis, pedalos?
5. Will the weather be hot the 1st week of september and will rain be expected?
thank you for your time.

Hi There,
The Victoria is not in the centre of the resort, takes about 10 minutes walk, but it is right on the beach. Cant recommend it though. It looks superb but too many bad reports as you will see in the hotel reviews. Had family stay there last year and they were very disappointed in it.
You will find Bulgaria very cheap for both eating and drinking especially compared to say Spain ( a pint of local decent lager costs between 35p and 6op ). Think prices will go up slightly this year as Bulgaria now in EU. Best keep on eye on this site for when the season starts in about 6 weeks time.
There are 2 water parks in Sunny Beach, although the one next to the Hotel Kuban in the very centre of the resort is smallish. Plenty of water sports to be had though on the beach including jet ski's and para gliding.
We always go to Bulgaria 1st 2 weeks in Sept. and apart from the occasional rainy day ( sometimes very heavy ) the temperature is usually mid to high 20 's.

Hope this helps, any other info just fire away.

Hi BabyAmy,

You'll find the Victoria Palace in Sector 'F' of THIS MAP; the Kuban, which Toonman mentions, is in Sector 'D'.

The larger water park's details can be found HERE.

Hi,

as Toonman said, the Victoria Palace is not in the centre of Sunny Beach. But quiet near are a lot of bars and restaurants. Nearly everywhere in Sunny Beach are a lot of bars and restaurants. A problem may be, that the discos are not in the neighbourhood of the Victoria Palace.

Disco Orange doesn't appear to be too far away, from the linked map.

I'm not a specialist for discos, but as I know, the most discos are in the centre of Sunny Beach. For example in the Kuban and in the opposite of the Kuban, across the mainstreet.

And the "main-disco", the Lazur, is in the south of S.B, and the Victoria Palace in the north.

However, there are everywhere in Sunny Beach a lot of bars and restaurants.

I'm not sure, whether this map is right. It does'nt show the Sun Palace where it is.

Hi Manfred,

I'm not sure, whether this map is right

Steve, who owns Orange, also has the Lazy Day Cruises, Happy Duck and Tropicana - I would be surprised if he located the club incorrectly on the map - wouldn't be very good for business....

Hi Baldur,

the Sun Palace ist located incorrectly, not the Orange. I was last year two times in this hotel, this year will be the third time, and I know, where the Sun Palace is (beside the Merkury). I hope, it will be the same place this year ;)

Hi BabyAmy,

September in Bulgaria I think is the best month, the weather is usually very warm. But also it is a lot quieter at this time of year a lot of places actually close around 1st September, so it depends on yourselves whether this would suit you.

Me and three of my mates are off to Sunny Beach on the 6th June 2007.

We were wondering how busy it will be?
We arent gonna be the only ones in the pubs/clubs are we?

Obviously it would be nice if some girls are going at the same time.....so any girls going in early June???

Heres to Sunny Beach good times :D

Hi Gav, No need to worry about SB being quiet. By the time you go it will be in just about full swing. Best of luck with the ladies.

Hi,

I don't think SB will be in full swing at the beginning of June, there will be holidaymakers, but it will not be too busy until July. Don't worry though everywhere will be open, but you won't have to fight your way to the bar!

Have a good hol.
