I'd like to make people aware that Travelbag Knutsford have the most appalling customer service. We went in to book 2 flights to Vancouver with a stopover in New York. We thought that the return flight would be the same route in reverse but the travel consultant - S- told us that wasn't an option. The only way we could return was to make our own way by train to Seattle and fly from there. He gave the impression it was just a simple journey. However, when we got home, we found out that it is a 4 hr trip so would have to travel the day before and stay in a hotel AND the airport is a long taxi ride from the centre. Also, on checking the airline website, we found there ARE flights out of Vancouver. We've no idea why he didn't tell us this. When we complained, all he said was " I thought you were happy with the details" we then complained to the manager -R- who ignored our letter. So we wrote Customer Service, they told us that they only deal with POST travel problems and they referred us back to the manager. So we wrote again. This time she replied and said the exact words that the consultant said ie " we were happy when we left the shop and we couldn't change the flights". Well, she wasn't there, and she hadn't even spoken to us, so obviously she has taken S word that we were happy. It is going to cost us £300 to fly from Vancouver to Seattle now and they are refusing to even admit that S failed to do his job properly. Travelbag claim to "tailor make holidays to suit the customer". What they dont do is give the customer all their options in order to do this. We will never use Travelbag again and will not recommend them to anyone. They are only interested up to the point when you hand your money over. After that, you're on your own. DONT TRUST THEM.
