Hi I am looking to book a holiday on my own this year...still single I am afraid but not a problem . Would just like some ideas on places to go all inclusive suitable for a lone ( 40 something) lady. Lots of sun is essential and pref no more than a 5 hour flight. Was thinking of Egypt but am just a tad worried about being on my own there as have heard some scary stories about the guys. Any suggestions hints or tips would be gratefully received. Oh..am looking to go early July.

Hi annie,If you are keen on Egypt, El Gouna may be worth looking into. (fly into Hurghada) It is quite different from Sharm with regards to hassle. It is a self-contained resort and you would feel safe there (they have a no hassle policy
I walked back to my hotel from Downtown with the kids, leaving hubby watching the football. I would never have done this in Sharm.

Have you considered a cruise, a friend went around the Med. and she said it was an ideal holiday for a single person. There were single supplements to pay so it wasn't cheap.

How about Paphos ? I did it last October alone and had a great time with no troubles whatsoever
you will also be quite safe in one of the smaller greek resorts and doing a self booking {DIY] job will save the TO's supliments
