SO we eventually got back in the early hours of yesterday morning, more than 12 hours late but home

Have to say things are very quiet out there, in 12 years I have never seen Anjuna market so empty! And no night markets on either

There is increased security in Calangute/Baga etc, more in the south with gun bunkers on the beach.

There are empty shacks all over the place, and no sellers on the beach either.

The taxi drivers haven't grasped basic economics and would rather have no business then a little business - 400 to anuja in a tuk tuk- I think not!

We had a good mooch round on the local bus and walking as well.

The people we talked to are worried that things are not going to get better and this year will be a total wash out for them, not helped by banning the beach parties from today.

We had some great meals- Souymans Kitchen and Victorias COrner and Gato Loco and some truly awful ones too- Inferno!!!

Not sure when we will be back, certainly not next year, but we will see
