we were in Calangute in monsoon....the Public Bar has had a referb !!!
In my eyes they have spoilt it...but others may think it is progress

I think the Public Bar is opened all year round, but not sure?
Not sure about the Shining Star, its a great shack isnt it, the staff are so nice. Its next door to our shack, the Oceanic.
We also fly out on 24 November. Are you on the First Choice flight from Gatwick at 16.30 hours?

Cheers, flying from Manchester with Jewel in the Crown so I guess that means the dreaded Monarch. Only been to the Public Bar since the refurbishment so never actually saw it in all its glory.
