Yes, my wife and I have stayed there. The most recent was one year ago this week in fact. I can certainly recommend them. They are in the residential area, and within easy walk of Lagos. There are two blocks to the twp floor apartments, both have their own swimming pools. Food at the in-house restaurant tends to be expensive but there is a mini-mart within 2 minutes walk which sells all the food you would require. Each apartment has sufficient cooking facilities to do your own food. However within 3 minutes walk there is a great little cafe/restaurant called Pinquin, which serves very reasonably priced meals. E.G. a 3 course meal for 2 with wine comes to less than 30 euros. Further down a gently sloping hill there is the Triangulo restaurant for more pricey and specialised food. The apartments are scrupulously clean and generally very quiet. A free mini-bus takes you down to Lagos Town and also to the local beach and returns. I think it runs from 9am every hour with a break from 12 noon to 3pm and the last trip back is 6pm Taxis are cheap as it is inly a 5 minute run from Lagos back. I give the apartments 9/10. the only fly in the ointment being that sometimes being in a residential area you can hear dogs barking at night ---- sometime.
I will gladly answer any further questions. Oh yes, there is a central office which serves all the apartments.

I priced Vilabranca up for 2008 and found I got a good price for them on Thomson's website pricing as accommodation only. They seem to be expensive when priced as a package with TUI. I think there are also a few up for private rental on the Owners Direct web-site.

We ate in Triangulo four times this summer, it's a brilliant Portuguese restaurant, lots of cooking on 'a hot stone' going on. Nice staff as well. It's next to O'Pirates which was also great - beautiful sole meuniere and flambe strawberries. Not sure if you know Lagos but these resturants are up by what I think is called the 'tulip roundabout', and would be good for anyone staying at Vilabranca. There was a nice looking Chinese there as well but didn't manage to try it.

Good Luck, Doe :)
