I have written about Datca before. I got home from there this morning. I've been visiting for over 15 years and for me it is paradise, I go 4 or 5 times a year. No mass tourism, still very Turkish, blue flag beaches mostly empty, stunning mountain and coastal scenery and best of all a breeze when it is hot - great for sailing. I'm happy to give advice to anyone on how to get there and where to stay.

Ortakent on the Bodrum Peninsula is still very much a Turkish resort and the beach is lovely there, also with a blue flag. It is also close enough to Bodrum if you fancy some sightseeing or shopping. It is cheaper than some of the other resorts around Bodrum because more Turkish visitors go there.
