We stayed in the Palas hotel Sunny Beach. The hotels location was fantastic we couldnt have hoped for anyting better location wise, we were smack bang in the middle of the promonade so we had the option of going to either end without having a long treck.

The food was a bit to be desired some of the choices were unusual to say the least. The french toast was good in the morning, would strongly recommend you avoid drinking the tea as the milk was warm and left floaty bits on the top.

The hotel room was basic was clean the shower did tend to block up and the water took some time to clear.

The staff never bothered you. If there were any problems they would aid you the best they could.

The entertainment was dire to say the least. The had this caberet act which consisted for a man with a very loud keyboard and a woman with a voice like a foghorn. So give is a miss!!

Hi all
Just back from staying at the 3 star Palas Hotel, a couple away from the Victoria Palace.
For a Bulgarian 3 star it was very good value.

Guests mainly Engish and Scotish with a few Germans and Swedes

Reception and bar were very clean, with friendy efficient staff and entertainment every night until about 1am.

Food was, from what we could gather from people staying at the Victoria Palace very good for 3 star. Waiting staff very efficient and helpful. A slight rush for tables if you wanted to eat at opening time 6pm

Breakfast: Good cold selection including fruits, cerials, cakes. Hot english style with good bacon and eggy bread.

Dinner: A good choice every night with 2 soups and 4 main dishes incluing fish
Cold selection usually had sea food choice, fruit cakes puddings etc

Rooms: Cleaned every day, new towels every 3 days, sheets had to last the week. TV, mini bar, and fridge, good balcany with tables and chairs.
Slight sign of general wear but not bad at all. Shower was the Turkish style, bit of a shock if your not used to them but very clean and tiles throughout. They are just a hole in the floor to drain the shower water and no curtain so everything in the bathroom has a shower with you. Remember to leave your towels outside!!!

Lifts: New and efficient.

All in all a very good 3 star and very good value. We paid
