This hotel was absolutely fantastic, I would definitely re-visit. And I recommend this holtel to anyone who is planning on going to the Dominican Republic!!

This hotel is perfect whether you are a couple or a family. I now have a child and I will definitely be going back wih him!!

Me and partner were trained to scuba dive here which was fantastic we are now pada registered scuba divers! We couldn't believe that they had there own scuba diving centre (Well Hutch) you actually trained in the pool when it was quiet and when you were ready you went in the sea which was such an amazing thing to see and experience!!

The food was great always something different every day.

The reason why I've put 3 stars for entertainment was purely because we were always out on a night in the local shopping centre! Where they have a pizza hut!

We went for 2 weeks and got married here. The hotel was fantastic. The rooms were really large with air-conditioning which was very welcome! There was a mini-bar with soft drinks, water and beer in, restocked every 2 days. The maids left towel arrangements on the bed shaped like swans, or hearts and always left flowers on the bed.

The food was excellent - we were with both sets of parents who had vastly different tastes, and it went down a treat. You could get international branded drinks at the bars - great for me as I love my Gordon's gin & tonics!

The wedding was absolutely fabulous - they couldn't do enough for us. In the evening when we got back to our room they had put one of the flower displays from the ceremony in our room on the table along with a bottle of champagne and a big dish of fresh fruit for our first morning! We also had T-shirts left for us with "Just Married" on the back of them. Such wonderful little touches.

We are going to go back here to renew our vows in a couple of years. I have never stayed at such a lovely hotel and had such a great time. I would recommend this to people of all ages - my parents are in their late 50s, my husband's parents are in their 70s, and we're in our 30s, so definitely something for everyone!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Iberostar Costa Dorado in September 2002 on our first Caribbean holiday and had a brilliant time. Lovely surroundings, nice clean rooms, no bugs, friendly staff, in fact it is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in and I would not hesitate to stay at another in the Iberostar chain. The hotel is on the North Coast and therefore not surrounded by the Caribbean Sea however you get a nice breeze whilst sunbathing on the beach. The tune on the Island is Merengue and it took weeks to get this infectious tune out of my head! The only problem I encountered was with food however this is not really a reflection on Iberostar as being a fussy eater (not eating spices and fish etc) I often encounter this problem, generally though the resort really is excellent with a fantastic all inclusive package, great value for money.

About the Island itself although outside the hotels the areas are quite poor I would definitely recommend participating in organised trips. Two I found to be particularly good were the waterfall trip (great guide) and quite an experience and the Beach trip which is something like you will NEVER see again I am sure, a small pure white sandbank island in the middle of the sea surrounded by crystal blue waters, coral reef and tropical fish, this really is heaven!

One trip I would not repeat in a hurry in deep sea fishing - apart from the 5am start the sea was really rough and my boyfriend and I spent the whole 5 hours throwing up over the side of the boat - he can go deep sea fishing on his own in future!

P.S. Good idea to take toothbrush, toothpaste, sweets, hair bobbles etc to give to kids if you are going on any trips!

Enjoy your stay!
