We booked at the Eleana apartments in June of this year, and must admit to reading some terrible reviews and being a little apprehensive. However, on arriving at the apartments, we were very pleasantly surprised!!
There was a brand new fridge and two ring cooker (we never used it though), ample space for the extra bed in the living area, and two spacious bedrooms! The bathroom was clean and the shower was huge....there was a rather smelly drain in the bathroom floor, but that's Greek plumbing for you.....a bit of extra air freshener and we didn't notice it too much.
Towels and sheets were changed regularly, and the maid was in every day, unless you were having a lie in, although she turfed us out one day to mop the floor when we were just milling about getting ready to go out.
The pool was spotless, and although Toby and I didn't eat in the bar, my mum and youngest son had lunch one day, and said the food was fine albeit a bit basic.
Eleana and her husband were friendly, and helpful, although their English is not that good. Debbie, the Olympic rep was great too!!
We were so happy with it that we're about to book to go back to Eleana next year, and if that's not a recommendation, I don't know what is!!!

Although reviews I had read had really worried me we were pleasantly surprised, the sheets were changed once a week and the room cleaned, the beds made and the bin emptied in the bathroom every other day.
The pool bar sold snacks and breakfast at a reasonable price, and was well cooked. The pool was clean and well maintained. It was 2 euros to use the sun beds, but if you brought something for 2 euros from the bar you did not have to pay for the sun beds, (water, coffee, and beer were all 2 euros).
It was an easy 15 minute walk into the centre of St.George and in a quiet location.
The owners wife kept the rooms clean and was always cheerful and helpful and George the owner looked misserable but was fine as long as you were spending money.
People tended to go into St.George for entertainment and although the owner kept the bar open until late nobody used it, and there was no entertainment.
I think if the price was as cheap as it was this time I would certainly go back again, rather basic but after all this is Greece.
