The apartments were spotlessly clean every day. The hotel food had a wide variety of foods from chinese to greek. Some foods tasted bland mainly being the desserts. However they do yummy kebabs nearby the pool area including pizzas. Which my boyfriend and I seemed to live off instead of the lunch time buffets. The hotel location was quiet but wasn't far from things. Shops nearby, bar/nightclub, small town, beaches etc. Never had to travel just walked around. A lovely town nearby we visited; forgetting the name, it had souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and near to the sea again!
The hotel staff don't keep you waiting, very friendly. The entertainment is entertaining! Different each night, day time fun in the pool e.g. Water polo which was great fun! Holiday reps get everyone involved. It's like one big family out there! Re-visiting this hotel soon! Can't wait.

When our family first arrived at the hotel we were amazed, the hotel is completely clean and the views are utterly breathtaking! We though although the situation wasn't ideal, because there wasn't really much to do around except about 3 shops and one or two bars. Really, you couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel though, it was so well looked after and the rooms were just right for families.

We were told by a friend who also visited that the food wasn't really anything special. Although i must agree, there was a little repetition in the meals, the food was wonderful! There was so much choice and also there were snacks whenever you wanted which were quite nice, that is if you were all inclusive.

We didn't really speak to the hotel staff very often although the bar men all seemed very nice and so did the maids. The people at reception were a little awkward sometimes but overall they seemed to be OK.

Entertainment varied. Some of the shows that were put on by companies that did not work with the entertainment team weren't very interesting but when the actual entertainment team put on a show it was really good!

Also in the day there is an endless list of activities to take part in and the people involved are really nice and friendly, couldn't ask for better.

Just a few gripes, The all inclusive drinks are very very limited only beer, vodka, wine, ouzo, orange liquer, gin and brandy, that is it, you pay extra for anything else.

First Choice reps brilliant couldn't do enough.

Wasps and Mossies a real pest so take your bite and sting kit before you leave.

Food was very well cooked and presented although limited for choice. Beach bar come servery was OK lunch times.

The rooms are on the large side they are all self catering apartments comfortable and clean.

The resort is kept in good order gardeners keep the grounds very nice. You can catch a bus into Corfu town, but you will have a 15 minute mwalk to the main road the bus costs 3 Euro one way, you will have about 3 hours to shop or 6 hours if you catch the next bus.

All in all the hotel need to do some thinking on ways to improve during the winter, not much just have a better variety of drinks available and a more varied menu. The coutesy bus needs to leave the hotel more often as well.

The grounds were beautiful, the apartment was very large & spacious.

The apartments were cleaned daily & our particular maid was very thorough ... although others said their maid was not much cop!

The food was boring & most of it tasteless!

The hotel staff were nice although you had to make the effort with them!

The entertainment - what entertainment?!? I was really disappointed having been to other All Inclusives who keep adults & children entertained as much or as little as you want!

If it wasn't for the mosquitoes & wasps & the food was nicer & there was entertainment yes, but as this wont change - no!

The Hotel is beautifully set in lovely well maintained grounds with gorgeous views...there is however, not a lot around just a couple of shops and 2 small beaches...so boredom does set in!

The apartment was excellent, with 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living room area and it was cleaned daily. There was air conditioning units on each of the walls and the cold water could be drank, as it is filtered. There are, however, no plugs for the baths, (so you will have to take your own), and the hot water seems to be shared throughout the 'block of apartments', so doesn't stay hot for too long.

The food was good...and nicely cooked, with plenty of choice of hot and cold meals.

The free drinks were basic and rather disapointing, served in small glasses (we were having to get 3 at a time to keep us going as there was only one guy serving at times)....and were being charged 3 euro's a drink for the others.

The First Choice Rep's were excellent and very helpful, although I found the hotel staff to be a bit miserable.

The entertainment was very poor, (Bingo, Disco, and a couple of second rate acts), the men were very lucky that there was plenty of Premiership and European Football on the Bar TV that week to keep us going. The SKY TV in the apartments was a bit 'hit and miss', however, there were films on at 10:00pm for the kids so it helped to ease the boredom....we also had to play cards constantly.

The pool was extremely cold and unbearable at times, and the wasps were a constant nuisance. The mossies, were even worse...even though we used repellants and candles we still got covered in bites.

On the whole, this place has a lot of potential and could be very good, however, it lets itself down in so many areas. Because it is stuck in the middle of nowhere, it needs to get better on site enertainment, a heated pool and do something about the insects, otherwise it will be a 3 star rating hotel and not the 4 star it hails to be.

On arriving and opening the balcony doors we were in awe of the amazing view of the sea.The food was alright , plenty of choice but repetitive as is most all incs. The location of the hotel was very remote and kassiopi was the nearest town 20 mins away.Entertainment was dire and the staff were friendly and helpful although we had a great laugh with the reps. The biggest problem was the mosquitos and wasps a complete nightmare. The hotel was clean with regular maid service.Anyone looking for a lively holiday this isnt for you.Overall it was a good holiday but wont go back.Cos of the mozzies.

Where do I start?

On arrival to blue bay we were greeted by a neanderthal who issued our apartment keys, nice welcome. Once inside our apartment we discovered that the air conditioning was not working and our patio door in the living area was broke and could be slid open from outside even when locked.

After numerous discussions with the very unhelpful staff my patio door and air conditioning were fixed after 48 hours supposedly. For the next 6 days the " now fixed" air con continually leaked all over the apartment floor causing what can only be described as Corfu's new Aqualand. After being reassured this problem was fixed daily we were told we had to move rooms as the wall needed to be hacked out and the piping changed, very strange due to it having been fixed daily.

The food was repetitive, bland and non imaginative, unless you like chips with pork, fish or chicken for 14 days.

The location was pretty much in the middle of nowhere but was adjacent to two filthy beaches.

Anyone with a phobia of wasps stay well clear, there are hundreds all over the resort and you cant get away from them.

It got to the point where we would take our food to our apartment and eat it on the balcony where if you were lucky you may only have two pestering you.

As for the mosquitoes, even though we used candles from the nearby shop and all lotions and potions available to man we were constantly bitten daily, myself having only 32 bites by the end of the first week.

The entertainment can not be called entertaining, it was nothing short of disgusting. Some nights being a disco or a quiz.

These really entertaining shows would average an hour long duration and then you were left twiddling your thumbs.

The all inclusive drinks were shocking, very limited to lager, vodka, ouzo, brandy and an orange liqueur. The soft drinks were of very little colour or taste. But at least they were served by the ever so unhappy staff who just seemed like they didn't want to be there, and everything they did seemed like you were asking them for their first born.

In conclusion the holiday was disgusting, the worst i have ever been on. There is more chance of hell freezing over before I would return to camp Colditz.

Although the hotel was clean and in beautiful surroundings it was in the middle of nowhere and next to a swamp where the mosquito's where breeding ready for that nights onslaught.

The hotel staff worked hard from morning to night and some where friendly especially the gardeners and a Mexican lady in the hotel shop who was more than helpful with any questions you may have had, but on the whole a lot of the staff looked as thought all they had to do was get throught their shift.

The hotel food was fine if you liked the same choice for the whole of your stay and in the end we went to Kassiopi twice for a decent meal which when you have paid almost

Hi
We returned from Villa Cathy on 9th September. All I can say is we had a great time and will be going back very soon.
Some lovely tavernas within walking distance and supermarket.

The beach is brilliant, you can hire sunbeds and brollies.

The Prices for our two weeks stay was only ₤ 950.00 for the 8 of us!!

Overall, a great place to take a holiday and is definitely worth it.

For better or worse had plenty time to consider my thoughts on Blue Bay - here they are.

Firstly positives - views truly breathtaking - never forget them - First Choice reps - particularly children's ones - first class.

Beach three minutes walk left of main gates very clean quite peaceful and sea fantastic!

The often mentioned Mexican lady running the hotel shop - charming, interesting and very helpful.

Food at poolside - at worst adequate - best very good.
cleanliness of rooms also high.

Football school great, though alarmingly we were told due to poor take-up, footy may not be continued at Blue Bay.

Finally, the behaviour and therefore the general atmosphere on the whole of the children was very good - even some of the adults! In what is generally a relaxing environment for those preferring a quieter holiday with younger children.

On the downside... mosquito's!!!! though not many wasps - absolute nightmare and two months later I still have many visible blisters as legacy to best part of hundred bites, why don't the locals appear to suffer? - what's the secret- would have paid a fortune.

"Entertainment"? - children's disco at start of each evening whether by German or English reps was great. In complete contrast the rest was the complete opposite - an embarrassing mix of second-rate acts and bingo hosted by people way out of their depth - hugely lacking in the charisma department and always involving huge gaps in proceedings which in hindsight may of been best part of evenings! All of which left you the option to go back to your apartment - only to the extremely disappointing "satellite TV" choice as advertised. 5 local or foreign channels or 24 hours news channel in the often vain hope that something half decent would be on the one and only watchable sports channel! How easy would it be to put a DVD player for a start in the rooms for kids first thing in morning or last thing at night!!?.

In summary, hotel has so much going for it given it's spectacular location but really needs to sharpen up their act - I look back now and wish one of those TV reality troubleshooters could visit the place as for not much more effort or expense. The place could be fantastic rather than just good, still the kid's loved it and that as every parent know's, is about as good as it gets!
