we booked this hotel last year and as it was booked by my daughters i did not get a chance to read the reviews beforehand ,so after reading the reports on here and elsewhere we have spent several anxious months in apprehension and nearly cancelled at least three times due to the reports . the hotel i am glad to say is in fact really quite good ,the room was clean and tidy ,carpets and furnishing's where well within acceptable standards .the food was quite good ,we expected to have to eat out every night ,but in fact this only happened twice and once was because we wanted a harbour side meal ,the entertainment through the day and into the night was of a above average level ,there is something for everyones taste,i did mention the bad reviews to one of the head guys and he told me that the firm he works for had been outbid last year ,hence the bad reports and these now where the crew that had been there in 2005/6 .
the pool was a bit smaller than expected due to the pics in advert being taken with a wide angle lens but even though the hotel was full it was never overcrowded .
what we brits have to realise is that this is a full international hotel and caters for every country in the world ,there was a extreme mix while we where there ,arabs ,israelis ,french ,english, dutch ,germans, russians ,bulgarians plus probably a few more .and the hotel coped with everyone .
the maid/cleaning service was exceptional nothing was to much bother and nothing went missing despite the fact we never bothered with a safe ,and i had a lot of expensive camera equipment plus personal jewellery with me .
so if your a report reader and like me are worried about this hotel ,relax its a good one for the price .we paid

The room was clean and this was the best thing about the holiday. The food was monotonous and bland, the entertaintement staff tried their best and were friendly, but the evening entertainment was abysmal.

The staff were great, especially the barber.

There were a lot of thefts from the rooms, drinks were basic and flat!!!!

Very disappointed would not go back.

The only thing that kept the men amused was the slides.

A group of us have just been to the Kervanasary in Marmaris. We were all very sceptical after reading the reviews. In our opinion the food was not brilliant but it was edible and there was plenty of choice. If we had have wanted to get good old fish and chips we would have gone to Scarborough. The all inclusive drinks were limited but it does state in the brochure that it is only locally produced drinks. The entertainment left a lot to be desired but the entertainment staff had only been there 4 weeks after the old staff had walked out. The cleanliness of the hotel and apartments was excellent the maids did a brilliant job. The turkish bath, body scrub and massage was out of this world, if you do go this hotel then visiting the fitness centre is a definate must. Overall the staff were great some more than others. We probably would not return to this hotel again. Even though we did enjoy our holiday we think this is mainly to the company we were with and some of the people that we met at the hotel.

After reading reviews on the internet we were a bit aprehensive about going, but first impressions of the hotel were very impressive, very clean and modern. We had a 4 hour delay on our way out so missed tea. Our rep had said that there would be something to eat for us but this turned out to be soup at midnight. The soup was tastless and grey in colour but the bread was excellent! We stayed in the apartments opposite the main entrance and these could not be faulted. Strangly though we had a dish washer but nothing to put in it! although the washing machine was a great addition. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed whenever you wanted them.
First impressions of the restaurant were very good with a big selection on offer, but two members of our party came down with very bad stomach ache on the second day after eating the same meal. This continued for all of the first week until they could not even bear to smell the food. I myself did not have any problems with the food other than the fact I got bored with it.They did try to put a meal on for the brits but this was cold chips with a sauce poured over it and cold turkey burger pieces with parsley on top. I've always said that when abroad you should not expect food to be the same as what you get at home and should try the local dishes, but what was on offer here was poor.
From the end of the first week we ate out every night
with the Castle restaurant just down the road our favorite.
The pool was good but with the usual early morning treck to get your sunbed. You get given cards on your arrival to exchange for towels by the pool - great idea. We got to know the towel man quite well who in return sorted us out with umberellas and beds.
The kids loved the slides and the pool did not get too busy.
The entertainment team tried their best and were very enthusiastic but having to cater for up to 14 different nationalities at the same time has it's problems.
The hotel suffered from the curse of drunken idiots and unfortunatly they were all English, two even fighting over getting splashed in the pool. Fortunatly they were arrested and kicked out.
Hotel location was excellent, out of the noise but only 2 minutes walk if you wanted to find it. Some people have moaned about the graveyard, but we did'nt notice it until someone pointed it out.

When we stayed in this hotel we stayed in the apartements they are very clean and moden we loved it the staff and entertainment are very friendly and will talk to you. The food is very nice from there but if you are a fussy eater then you wil not like it they put out lots of diffrent kind of food but there is diffent food every day if you stay there for 2 weeks you will find that there is no change in the food for example if it was monday and you had lamb stew the next moday it would be the same. But we did not have any problems with the food. the maids are very good at there jobs they change your sheets on your bed every day and makes sure that it is lovely and tidy for you. The lcation is good it is not i the middle of allthe noise it is away from all of that the entertainment finishs at 11 at night but they do have a bus that brings you to bar street after it cost 5ytl to go.

we stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks on arrival we were given a apartment opposit the main hotel this was very good it had 2 floors and even had a washing machine which came in very handy after going on a quad safari which is a must to do. the hotel was very clean towels changed if you leave them in bath and beds changed twice a week hotel food was not very nice at all if you don't like rice and salad don't go there, drinks were ok but only local drinks were free there was a pool side snack bar which served burger and chips drinks and pizza from 12 till 5 which was ok.The hotel is far away from marmaris center but u can gt on a dolmus bus at the hotel which costs about 50p to get there there is a few bars and shops near hotel which are quite good you can get a great breakfast for just a pound a gingers just 5 mins walk
away. Hotel staff very friendly entertainment not very good .I would go back to marmaris but not to this hotel
but only because of the food if it was self catering then i would.

The hotel its self was clean, room was done every day and the pool staff spend all day and early evening ensuring it is clean and washed down.
The bar staff can be tempramental especially if you are a male, females get served alot quicker!!!
As we had no children we cannot really comment on the entertainment as we did not watch any.
The hotel food leaves a lot to be desired in fact it was diabolical. Hot food only just luke warm giving 90% of the guests upset stomachs, with some even having to go to hospital. I fell ill after just 3 days and my husband was not far behind me, we then spent the remainder of the holiday on tablets from the chemist and eating out every night. The hard boiled eggs and bread for breakfast are fine if you like that sort of thing.Salads or ok if you like everything covered in mayo but be carefull as my husband observed staff filling 10 litre containers with water from a hose pipe just off the pool area, then walking to the back of the hotel. Even customers eating only salad fell ill.
All inclusive drinks well lager, vodka or gin and soft drinks thats it.

I always book last minute deals & go all inclusive but this is the worst all inclusive hotel I have stayed in.
The food was horrible, we ate out every night nearly. Sincerity Hotel & Resturant down the road is very nice & is run by a family from England.

The all inclusive drinks only include vodka, gin, raki, beer, wine & soft drinks.
The staff were friendly ok but did get moody!
The entertainers were very hard working but the entertainment isn't great!

Beach isn't sandy but does get busy. There is a strip of bars on the beachfront. That is where all the english couples & groups go out till early hours.
DO NOT GO TO BAR STREET!! The reps & entertainers will try & get you to go as they get commision & free drinks! but its very expensive

Was a bit apprehensive prior to going after reading some of the comments about the food and the staff. People have got to remember that these hotels are not here to cater for just the British. The pie and beans brigade will obvoiusly not like the food. The room we had was very clean. I found the staff very pleasant. These people work very long hours and get a pittance for pay. The entertainment staff were excellent. They were always trying to get everyone to join in with the various activities during the day. There was a limted choice of drinks and you could have drunk a barrel of the lager and still not got drunk. Overall I was very happy with my stay here and would have no hesitation in going back
