well what can i say except whoever the scaremongers are out there you must be a right hard lot to please because if this liner does not come up to scratch then i suggest you stick to the Q E 2 but i doubt that would please you,as the last 2 reports have stated this is a well run well organised ship the cleanliness is faultless the food is superb and the entertainment is good for all you can never be bored on this liner you will not get better staff if you paid £10,000 a head so come on you lot give credit where its due this is a great value for money liner and i should know i have worked on the best in the past and the standards required on this liner are higher than any p&o or cunard liner my ratings for this ship is 5*****plus well done princess cruises

this is the first time we had sailed on the sea princess, my wife and i had a mini suite on baha deck, and my two children had an inside cabin on the same deck about 5/6 yds away, firstly may i say that the ship is spotlessly clean, we opted for anytime dining and the food was excellent, all the ships staff were as friendly and helpful as could be humanly possible, my kids are hard to please, but the onboard entertainment kept them busy all of the 14 nights we were on board. i will certainly, without doubt sail on this ship again. it was absolutely excellent.

Regarding the people that have done nothing but put people off going on the sea princess. it is a fantastic boat and one of the best i have been on and have actually been on the past 2 years. it has all you need and allthough i do admit the cabin (bathroom in particular) could be bigger it is faultless. People that have slated do not appreciate how well the crew do here and if you have kids they will love it as the children's crew do a great job and youth security are there to make sure they behave. This would be one of the 1st boats i recomend as the staff try to make the holiday speacial

We arrived in southampton on sat 12/05/07 to leave on sea princess. Discovered it was 4 hrs late docking due to 'technical problem' Absolute chaos ! No information Queues everywhere. Finally told that vessel would not sail and cruise cancelled!!
After that more chaos and NO real apology given.
We are now waiting on compensation - offered 25% off the cruise price - NOT next holiday and expenses.

Personally i consider this service DIABOLICAL and really do not wish to sail with Princess again.
Sea Princess is small and cramped - I could hardly get onto the balcony! After reading some reports , this vessel has had alot of engine problems and VIRUS OUTBREAKS
Still in a state of depression!!

regarding cleanliness, our room person alani did an excellent job always with a smile on her face. pity the lads in the buffet restaurant wasn't as thorough. tables could have been cleaned abit more often, plates not collected straight away. the food was quite good although a bit disappointed with the dining room, steaks were delicious but not much veg,if requested would be brought to us but not much taste.
the staff left a lot to be desired, especially the reception staff. waiters, unless on your table where they had to make an impression to get the tips were quite miserable looking, not much chat. one waiter in the bar was quite rude one evening.
the entertainment wasnt that exciting, in fact one night i fell asleep whilst watching the comediene.
whether i would sail on the sea princess again, it would not be my first choice, but even after my negative comments about it i think i would give it another chance. perhaps the islands that we visited helped to make it a fantastic holiday, along with the many people we met

We sailed on Sea Princess from Quebec to New York. We have sailed on 15 cruises, but first on Princess. The cabin we had was nice, but our friend's cabin was smelly. We had to queque every night to get into anytime dining, Whilst the food in the main restaurant was good, the self service food was boring. We, although Scots prefer to sail on american ships ie Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and NCL because the food is better. The entertainment was mediocre and the Captain(?) cocktail party a non event. The drink we were given was horrible. The champagne ran out, the prices of the tours were extortionate. Our friends booked a tour at Bar Harbour and paid a fortune, we came off the ship, booked a local tour at half the price, and met them during the tour. In St Johns we got on the corporation bus and it was less than half the price the ship was changing and we had a much better tour.
On arriving at New York is was absolute chaos, the people in charge of taking us to our hotel, were complete idiots and on arriving at the Sheraton at 10.30am, we had to sit in the hotel until 3.00pm until we got a room. We paid £199 each for three days in New York, because of the chaos both in arriving and department from the hotel, we only got one full day in New York. We wrote and complained to Princess, initially they offered £150 off a future cruise, but refused this and eventually got a cash payment of £300

The flights went out on time and there was free drinks good food and an excellent free gift package supllied by Princess ( Flights from Gatwick)
Transferes to the ship were excellent

This is the most we have paid for a cruise and I have had far better cruises with both Airtours and Thomson cruises as apposed to this cruise
The Buffet on the top decks were diobolical they had averry poor choice conpared to other cruises we have been on they seemed to be left out for long periods looked sad and of poor quality
The food in the main restraunts "waiter service" were just the oposite excellent standard good choice and friendly staff. Only thing wrong with this service was the Formal evenings when we wondered why we had bothered to get dressed up as nothing special happened.
This is the first cruise I have been on were there was no captains table in the main restraunt.
The evening shows were poor "worst we have exsperianced" on any cruise we have been on
It seemed that we sat and watched the same show each night, with the cast having a costume change.
We ended up after the first week playing cards with friends and joining the quize in the bar
We felt we were watching the same show each evening the only diffrence was the entertainers had a difrent coulored costume on.
I have worked in the catering trade sence 1963
West end hotels, Industrial catering and a catering company and have never seen Kitchens as clean as on the sea princess but its only a matter of time before the upstairs buffet causes them a problem

Our holiday was a 60th birthday celebration for myself. Flying from Mancheter to Barbados, flight on time, transfer to ship excellent, cabin very clean, enjoyed dining anytime sitting, and happy to share any table, and enjoyed meeting different people from all parts of uk, and America. The cabin steward was excellent, and staff in dining room very good. I was a little disappointed on my birthday, that I did not have recognition of my birthday, except for meeting another couple on the same table , and the lady'sbirthday was the same as mine, and she was also 60, she told the waiter, of our birthdays, and we were brought alittle
happy birthday cake(the size of a large muffin) after our dinner, the waiters rallied round and sang happy birthday to us. I would have thought that as it was a special 0 birthday, a birthday card, or a mention in the daily news sheet would have been a momento and a reminder in years to come of my special milestone and cruise.
My husband and I have since booked another cruise on sea princess in January when we are celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. I have told the agent's Thomas Cook of our special occasion, whether there will be a surprise who knows?
