Hi, Just returned fron V.O.Seas and had a lovely time. We visited Villefrance, Liverno, Rome, Naples and Sicily.
The cabins are spacious even for the inside ones, and the cabin stewards keep the rooms clean and welcoming all the time. Just be careful with your mini bar as we where charged $4.86 one day for items we never used and on the last day we was charged $14.83 and the queue at reception was so long we just left it.
The daytrip to Nice and Eze is really good. Think Florence is over rated but each to their own! Pisa is ok but nothing other than the tower, but we knew that before we booked, its worth seeing in the flesh so to speak! Rome we done D.I.Y and saved a lot of money. Sicily we stayed on board as we have been before.Capri was lovely, but if I went again I would D.IY it.
The staff are fantastic, they really are. Our waiters Gorge and Jose from the Magic Flute where so attentive, they spoke excellent English and where always smiling. The food was really good in the fine dining restaurants but thought only luke warm in the windjammer. We only used the windjammer on the first day and for breakfast on 2 mornings. We never used the Portofino as we had a lovely table in the magic flute so thought it unecssary.
The only gripe I have is as the last review has mentioned was the entertainment. It wasn't that it was poor, there just wasn't enough of it. The other thing is apart from the day at sea when there was something going on all day, if you stay on board as we did in sicily we struggled for things to do.

These are not complaints as we had a fantastic time and would return, probably we would go on Independance or Oasis next time with R.C.I.
All in all a fab holiday, hope yours is to if you have booked this ship.

Have fun.

We sailed with the Voyager in July 2008 and had an great time. This is out 2nd Cruise with RC.

The only problem we found was at the Windjammer buffet you were sometimes struggling to get a table at breakfast time so much so that we resulted in ordering room service for breakfast so we didn't have to worry about having to find a table.

The theatre entertainment was very good but there wasn't much happening elsewhere on the ship the previous cruise we did seemed to have something going on in various areas of the ship at night, also not much happening through the day if you decided to stay onboard the ship.

We upgraded to a suite this year and it is certainly worth the extra money as you have so much more space and a decent size bathroom plus the double balcony - which makes your stay a bit more comfortable.

We also booked our own flights this year and went direct to Barcelona as RC flights (from Scotland)normally send you via somewhere which can be frustrating.

Ship was clean no need for hand gels.
Food was excellent in the Windjammer especially the (soux) chef Winston Divli.
Ship's Staff where very helpful and we learnt a lot about other countries from them, they where very polite and courteous. I would like to thank the room attendant Marialla for all her hard work and help. Our waiter Omar who was excellent and advised us of the best from the daily menu, also Vitalli who was always attentive, and Svetlana in the logo shop was also very helpful.
The ice show on board was spectacular, the entertainment all over the ship was Broadway standard.
We would happily cruise on this ship again especially after its forthcoming refurbishment. I have had a good feed back from ITG Texas travel agents whose large cliental where also happy with this cruise.
Other cruise companies were making the head lines over the festive season due to serious illness on board their ships.
I have travelled with other cruise companies and due to their lack of cleanliness would never book with any of them again. Royal Caribbean is the only cruise company that I can trust to keep me safe so I don't spend my time in isolation and I can enjoy my holiday without incident. Other cruise companies advertise their holidays at a lower price but there are hidden extras which makes their cruises overall more expensive (cheap is dear).

Great cruise. Ship had wow factor for size and scale.Food entertainment etc.all excellent but Thomson (who are supposed to be the poor cousins)although much smaller were just as good on the Red Sea Majic Cruise on the Celebration.

A long wait for some trips. Did not like everyone being put of ship at 8am on departure day. Many had late flights. We had 2and ahalf hour wait for the check in to open. (This was then compounded by a 6 hour delay.)

My sister and myself book a weeks med cruise to celebrate our 30th and 40th birthdays, I have to say I was extremley impressed with this ship, the staff and the cleanliness, had no problems booking in as we did the express book in on line, we booked 2 trips before the cruise and I have to say that they trips were excellent had no problems at all, the food was amazing ( this coming from someone who is extremley fussey eater) and the waiting staff in the dinning rooms were 1st class, the entertainment was second to none,do not have a bad thing to say about the whole experinece, the only thing I would say in agreement from someone else is the time we had to depart the ship on the last day, we had to be off the ship at 8am and our flights home were not until 3pm in the afternoon, so it made it a long day sitting in the airport all that time, but overall a fantastic cruise and would recommend rci and would defo go on another cruise

We have just done the westbound transatlantic on the Voyager from Barcelona to Miami. We sailed on Voyager 7 years ago when she was brand new, she is showing some signs of wear but you cannot fault the facilities that are on board.Ice skating, inline skating, rock climbing wall plus mini golf. Kids have there own deck area with slide and splash pool. Excellent ship for families.
We did not have transfers included with our package so got a taxi from the airport to the pier. We shared with another couple we met at the airport, cost- 50 Euros including tip.
Hand luggage is screened before checking in. There is a duty free shop after you get your seapass card. Cigarettes were 22 Euros for 200 , litre of Smirnoff 9 Euros, Southern comfort 14Euros. For some reason the ship did not sell duty free cigarettes for the crossing, excuse I was given was a change in Spanish law!! we were glad we bought some at the shop in the pier building.
Cabin- We had an inside on deck 9- the ship has had a recent makeover in the bedding department with new mattresses with comfort toppers, new european duvets and pillow shams. We have had inside cabins before on RCI ships and there is always enough storage and closet space. We were very comfortable.
Food- for breakfast and lunch we ate in the Windjammer.Tip- if you see a queue on entering , carry on towards the back of the ship where the Island grill is. The food is more or less the same. There was always something we liked to eat and plenty to choose from. We always ate in the main dining room at night. Extensive choice on the menu and always able to have more than one starter if I couldn't make up my mind.
Entertainment- again, plenty going on, always read the Ship's daily newsletter at least twice to make sure you don't miss anything. The ice show is a must.
Service- Our cabin attendant, Lynette from India, was excellent. It was our 13th cruise with RCI and have always had excellent dining room staff but on this trip they were just average.
All in all an excellent cruise. We prefer the smaller ships in the cruiseline but would definitely return if the price was right.

We have just returned from the transatlantic trip on Voyager from Miami to Barcelona. Last year we did the trip on Celebrity Constellation so were keen to compare the 2 trips. Voyager is a beautiful ship that certainly has the 'Wow' factor and is well looked after. Despite being very big and carrying over 3,000 passengers it never seemed crowded or congested. Never a scramble for sunbeds. Like the tiered sun bathing area around the pools which again gave the impression of space. The crew are happy, friendly, polite and professional. This makes for a happy cruise. The entertainment was excellent with good quality cabaret acts and shows. The food was good although there were areas where it could improve. Had to send a dish back as it was almost cold but in fairness this was the only one and the head waiter without being asked came and apologised. The cabin which was a balcony was well looked after by the steward who is the best we have had during our 16 cruises. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Towels in a different shape every night which was good considering it was 13 nights. Whilst you do not get the little extras as you do with Celebrity, i.e cold towels around the pool, sorbet served around the pool by waiters when it is hot, body lotion etc in the cabins we still had a great cruise. Yes we would definately go on Voyager again.

Boarded quickly, but found the fod was very repetative
and we ate in the portofino $20.00 per head food excellent. Main dining hall waiter and assitant waiter was slow and keep bring the wrong wine or saying it was out of stock so we would buy a more expensive bottle.
My kids liked johnny rockets but had to pay $3.95 every time they used it, dissapointed wth state room attendant he never pulled down my daughters bed on 2 occasions and she had to phone at midnight to get someone to come to the cabin and pull down the bed.

on leaving the ship in Cape Liberty it took 3 hours to get off the boat, it was like "We have had your money now see ya later" very bad.

l would'nt go with Royal Caribbean again "Very Overated" "Very Expensive" went on the Enchament of the seas last year EXCELLANT

We have recently returned from a cruise on Voyager's sister ship Legend of the Seas. This cruise was for 14 nights around the med. After sailing on Voyager 3 years ago we were all really excited about cruising again as it is an ideal way to be pampered and also to see a different country most days. How disappointed we were. This was Legend's first cruise around the med and it was absolutely crowded - far too many people on board! Not only were there no sunbeds available at 9 o'clock in the morning there wasn't any deckspace to put any anyway. We had a junior suite which was not a lot bigger than a stateroom with balcony. Food was adequate although I detested the Windjammer restaurant - food in there was repetitive and I couldn't bare fighting for a table. However, we ate breakfast and lunch in the restaurant most days and this was excellent - our waiter and assistant waiter in the evening were superb and we met a lovely family who shared our table.

The evening entertainment was very good and we watched most shows - kids club was also good and we saw little of our children (ages 13 and 10). Although we had a good holiday and it has not put us off cruising, in fact, we are looking to book on Royal Carribbean's new ship Freedom of the Seas next year, I felt let down on Legend 5 star luxury was little more than 3 star on this particular cruise. Please, please Royal Carribbean take note that there were about 500 passengers too many on this particular ship and that spoilt many people's holiday.

This was my 14th. cruise and most people who have been on several can't help but compare to other cruises they have been on.
Voyager is a beautiful ship.
I liked the prominade and there were good deals in this shopping area.
We had a cabin with a balcony. I enjoyed sitting out in the mornings with a coffee.
Food - well I've had much better and more selection on most of my other cruises. It was adequate but that's about all I can say for it.
Waiter Service - usually wonderful but on this ship it didn't come up to par at all. I had to change tables as our waiter concentrated on the table behind him that was giving him problems. I felt our table suffered due to this. The assistant waiter did a better job and I made sure he was aware of this. After we were moved and there were seven of us we got much better service.
Cabin Steward - hardly ever saw him. I was a bit disappointed hearing all the other passengers praise their steward and the little extras done for them. I was really taken back after a beach outing and the towels were left wet on the floor. He must have just stepped over them when cleaning the cabin. Sand was left all over the balcony and floor as well. He made sure he was around when it came tipping time though.
Entertainment - was so so, I was not all that impressed. The band by the pool was good but we did not see the cruise director at all during the cruise. Most other cruises I have been on really entertain and bring people together around the pool, not this one.
Shore Excursion - We booked on line directly to Stingray City, cheaper than the ship cost and fewer people aboard. They had all the equipment we needed and were very helpful.
Bar Service on board ship was good, but keep tabs on your bill, mistakes galore.
Room Serice was very good, we used it often.
Children's program - well I haven't got words to say how great it was. My grandaughter loved this program and spent a agreat deal of time there. She even turned down some things we wanted to do with her so she wouldn't miss it. The staff was excellent.
Doctor - Good, but expensive $105.00 just for a visit.
When it was time to leave the ship they used the coloured tag system but if your colour was at the bottom of the list it was a very long wait.
Casino - good, had fun.
I suppose I have been spoiled on my other cruises but then again that is what a holiday is all about. I think Royal Caribbean needs to shape up a lot of things on this one. I don't think I would cruise on this ship again. There are many other cruise lines that I found are much better. I'm sure first time cruisers will rave about this ship but that is because they have had nothing to compare it with.
