A few questions.

Hi all. I am planning on going to Goa for around 8/9 days at the end of January. I will be going on my own (i'm 20) and am finding it difficult getting a package for one person. I have never been before, so wanted to know if it is fairly easy to pitch up and find accomodation when i arrive. If that is possible, how much is the average room per night? Any reccomendations for cheap flights?

Oh and do i still have time to get a visa? Cheers for the help!!

Might be a bit tight for a visa, unless you apply in person.

unless you go in person to arrange your visa, i would say you have definately left it too late for posting, and no visa....no entry!!

Getting a room should be no problem but the visa, it`s getting very late in the day for that :shock:

unless you went to the embassy I doubt you would get it in such a short time.

get your visa first (from London or Birmingham in person), then get a flight, you will be able to find plenty of accomodation ranging from £6 to £60 a night. £6 will be clean and basic, £60 will be 5 star.
Most charters are for 2 weeks, Scheduled are from Heathrow between £300 and £380 plus cost to Goa, about £45 return.

Last time I went to India I wanted to stay for the full 6 months that the visa allowed so we went to London, stayed with a mate and made our way to the embassy about 4 days before our flight. We just queued with everyone else, and it only took about an hour. I guess that might be your only option at this stage.
