We bought through http://www.novusmed.com they are situated in old town albufeira on avenida linda liberdade near where the old bus station used to be. We found them very helpful and the sale went through with no problems, but that was over 3 yrs ago. Do a search on real estate algarve there are lots of agencies , but always make sure they are registered with the authorities. We used http://www.cerronovo.com. They've been selling properties in the area for 20 years and have a wide range of places on their books. We can highly recommend them - they made the process of finding our apartment and buying it very easy. They have an office here in the UK, but if you get in touch with the Cerro Grande (Albufeira) office and let them know your requirements they will be able to sort out plenty of places for you to view in June.
Happy hunting!

Thank you to you both, I have looked on lots of real estate agent sites, mainly sourced through Google.
Does anybody have any feedback on Mackenzie?
Looking forward to June

Hi Under I think you really need to suss estate agents out when you get there, have a good look round in agents windows there are loads around in Albufeira if thats the area you are staying in and if you are interested in anything get the feel of them when showing you properties,ie whether they are pushy or not, and stick to your guns as they say up north UK, to what you want, the area and the ceiling price you want to pay (Dont get carried away and go over your budget). Also get a good lawyer if you find anything you like who can speak good english so you dont have any misconceptions Thats the best advice I can give you based on experience. As I said in previous post we hit lucky with http://www.novusmed.com they where really good and sorted everything for us and also wern't pushy in getting a sale, in fact we haggled for 3 months on the price and they always got back to us with an answer on the outcome positive or not. Dont really know anything about Mckenzie, but have heard of them selling time-share properties around Vilamoura, but that was a few years ago.Cheers Jayjan
