Having thoroughly enjoyed a fortnight based in Candolim in March 2006 & 2007 we are now considering returning to Goa in 2010. Has much changed in Candolim over the past couple of years, such as prices, restaurants/shacks, and attitudes towards tourists?
We'd appreciate any info & would like to return to Candolim, but depending on how things have or haven't changed we might try another resort or even give Thailand a go.
Candolim is still pretty much the same as a couple of years ago.
Prices have risen but it is still good value, possibly by 10-15% over 3 years.
Most shacks and restaurants are still the same and the sellers, elephants and beggars are the same as you would have seen in 2007.
Still much quieter than Calangute or Baga but more lively than the south.
