Hello, I'm asking on behalf of parents who are considering Croatia for their holiday. 
They like somewhere that has cafes, bars, restaurants within walking from most hotels.
They aren't too bothered about a sandy beach as any "chill out" days are usually spent by the pool. 
The resort shouldn’t be too hilly as mum has arthritis and prefers somewhere flat if possible.
They can hire a car so somewhere that has interesting places nearby to visit would be good.
Any suggestions?

                I don't think you'll find many sandy beaches in Croatia, but you'll find clean water and access from either concrete platforms or slopes or steps.
