) and after being told by others the seating is arranged by rows of 3's someone in our party would have to sit on their own anyway (2 adults 2 children aged 6 and 10).We are arriving at the airport really early and apart from panicking about us being the last ones there, not enough time etc I think it gives us the best chance of sitting together. Pre bookng seats adds another £40 or so on top of your price, something which I didn't think was necessary especially for our 2 hours and a bit flight.
As long as you get there in plenty of time you should be ok and I would never assume just because we have children that turning up ten minutes before check in closes we should have the right above others to sit together.
