Sounds lovely, getting excited already, hope it snows.
Think I'll give McDonalds a miss! I have only eaten there once in my life when I took my niece.
Just looked at the hotel and it looks perfect. 30 min walk into town 1 of the reviews said.
My colleague lives in the same road as you, only recently moved in so doesn't know that many people yet.
You can tell your colleague that our house is the one with the fairy stood in the garden. Have they moved into one of the new barrett home?
Back to Prague, the last time we went there just before Xmas we arrived dressed for minus temps and it was about 55 degs F but I think that was a freak, because when we went before it was 10 below, real brass monkey weather. Enjoy.

Must check the weather out before we go then. Hope it's blue sky but nice and crisp!
He lives in the old Wheelwrights Forge which is 125 years old, don't think it was built by Barratt..... tee hee, I think I upset him. Hope he doesn't break your fairy!!!!

Thanks
looking to go for a weekend to either Dublin, Prague or Venice - any suggestions which to go for? Thanks
Prague (been twice) - its got everything!! Cheap, lots to see by day, great hotels, restaurants, shops - can't go wrong. Dublin is great (I live there!!) but to be honest, the prices have become crazy for drink and meals out. Venice is lovely too but Prague is perfect IMO!!
i would go for prague - been there twice and loved it both times - is still cheap for drinks and food whereas dublin will cost you a fortune! i loved dublin but it was a very expensive four days - and i didn't even have to pay for accomodation. prague is stunning and there's loads of lovely restaurants and cafe's - the local wine is decent if anyone doesn't fancy beer. venice is great - i was there in sept 2004 but it is v crowded in the summer months - the tour groups can be annoying!
hope this helps

Thanks for the help. The majority want to go to Dublin but I will get some prices for Prague as well and way up what everyone's budgets are.
We are going mid May so weather should be OK wherever we go.

I had this conversation with my husband last night prague or Dublin?
And we opted for Amsterdam
I am going to read up on Prague as so many of you recomended it.

Kazzzza,
we tried Amsterdam about 15 years ago. Great city but the food was awful. I loathe yoghurt with a vengeance. When my dessert arrived I thought it had cream heaped on top, NO!! IT WAS YOGHURT(sorry to shout).
We want to return this year but at least I know what to expect. Still prefer Prague though
ps have a great time in Amsterdam
