Same here I have just had 7 e-mails all at once on topics I have been watching. 
Apologies for the number of notifications issued. The server was storing all the mails and once the problem was assessed and rectified this afternoon the server sent everything in its queue.
Hopefully this will sort any problems.

Yes Mark darling, I know. Problem is that in my case it's been about a year now, whilst I sit like Patience on a monument (not) surveying all. 
E-mail notification seems to be up and running again, just this minute had 74 and rising, watching the numbers rise as I type this.
