Thanks Darren
Any idea how far in advance you can give API? Not going until September, but I do like to be organised.
It was very strange sitting facing someone on a plane I can tell you. I suppose I've giving my age away by saying I flew that way! Not sure, but it may have been a Danair flight!
I remember Tridents very well all three models! Do you remember Vanguards? I think they had rear facing seats too ..
It various from carrier to carrier and tour operator, but from following the time of booking or from 6 months prior to your departure date. If you contact Hayes, they'll either collect the information from you or give you the booking reference so you can do it online.

Can enybody help with which terminal does Easyjet leave from at gatwick to go to Marrakesh? Thank you
Easyjet do fly from both terminals , i think there was a system where flights starting EZY 8??? were the north and EZY 5??? were south , its easy to find though by going to http://www.gatwickairport.com click on "flight information" then on "which terminal" and you put in destination and airline .
Many thanks Andy
Heads up to all you early bookers - Just realised flights now on sale up to Feb 2012!
...even though they still aren't sure what they are flying this summer! I booked Manchester-Zurich for September in January. On Monday morning the flights were showing as amended times in both directions in Manage Bookings (but no email so good job I was looking at my flight for Monday) then Thursday TWO emails turn up, one for each direction, but the return flght has now been changed back to the original plan. If it sticks at this I've now got perfect times in both directions - but I'm not betting on it!
thanks for that news re next year availability - have just booked our flights from Manchester to Tenerife for Feb2012.

I am travelling with Easyjet to Ibiza from Glasgow in July.Is there a bag drop or do I have to go through the normal check in procedures. The reason I ask is that I was thinking of booking a lounge but if the Easyjet desk check in does not open until 2 hours before the flight leaves then I feel it will be a waste of time.Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Is it the A319 or the A320 operating the Alicante flight from Manchester this summer ? Booked on it, a Monday flight in mid July & we've built a few A320's for easyJet the last few months so would love to fly on one of them brand new ones.
Does anyone know when Easyjet Winter flights from Gatwick to Tenerife will go on sale please?
Thanks
Jean
Hello Jean,
If you can only take 1 bag onto the plane plane with you, does this mean that you have to put all duty free etc in that bag before you board?.First time flyers with Easyjet so don't want to cop for extra costs.
Not stupid at all, very good point. Airport shop carrier bags are counted as hand luggage and at Manchester last week they were making very clear announcements (the only ones which were clear!) that they would charge for anything over the one item limit. So your shopping will have to go in the main bag and stay within the size limit. That said, easyjet staff tend to be more sensible about things than certain airlines so if it was a half empty flight with no pressure on space they may not be too bothered.
Its a difficult call, we always try and make sure everything can fit in the one case, just in case ! - maybe just have big deep pockets in you trousers / coats etc !!!!!
Chris
ps ryanair do not always allow you this freedom - if they can get some extras fees they will - but if you follow their rules you do not have a problem. With Easyjet you never fully know what you can get away with - with ryanair you know = ie nothing !
Surely the airport could loose customers who might have decided to buy duty free, but wont buy it because the airline ,might charge them £35 to put there bag in the hold
Hi,
it's not security, it's space and the airlines have caused it. When hold baggage was included in the fare only people in a real rush would bother dragging those small cases as hand luggage all the way to the plane - which meant the lockers weren't full. Now you have to pay extra for hold luggage half the people on the flight will have a case right up to the size limit and there just isn't any space left on a busy flight. I went to Hamburg last week and even though they were rigorous on the one item limit they still struggled to get everything in, some people were 10 rows from their luggage. If you haven't used your full size/weight allowance at checkin there's nothing to stop you taking a large plastic bag and putting your luggage and airport shopping in it as long as it's still within limits.
The safety rules say items of luggage have to be stowed in the lockers or stuffed under the seat in front (not on escape rows) during take off and landing so that they can't be thrown around in a crash - so that rules out sitting with it on your knee.
The airport security one item rule has been relaxed in a lot of places but that's only of use with the more expensive flight options.

since I don't have a Nectar card I can't say whether that rate is good value.
A word of warning, before doing this check your insurance very carefully, what do the Cancellation and Missed Departure sections say? Some policies may not refund lost value of points if you don't make the flight.
