There was this article in last Sundays People. No Doubt its been hyped up to be overly dramatic but wondered if anyone like Darren had heard anything as to the cause if this incident, as it seems a cigarette was probably not involved:-

I'm assuming its an ex GB Aircraft as it says A320?

Thanks

Mark757,

I've seen the initial incident report. Yet more over-dramatic reporting by the British media! The cabin crew did a great job as any fire in a confined space, especially an aircraft is of great concern. It's believed to have been an electrical fault, but until the investigation report is released, that was only the rumour. It was indeed one of the EX-GB aircraft, can't remember the reg though.

Will i be able to claim back the airport tax on flights i need to cancel? I paid £180 for the TAX alone.

You can reclaim the Air Passenger Duty (APD) element from Easyjet, subject to a service charge by them for processing the claim.

How strict are easy jet with middle names on passport

so if someones name on there passport was

susan mary smith

and the flight was booked as

susan smith

would they be funny

Ive got a simular question, i have a flight booked with them. originaly the flight was booked with my first and last name.
But it was changed over the phone to include my middle name. this was because i was concerned about api rules to spain, and didnt want a problem (although im told that first and last names are ok?)
Problem is my itinery has only my first and last name. will this cause an issue at check in? could imagine them being "difficult" and saying my name is wrong or incomplete etc

As long as the first and last name correspond you should be OK. Many airlines only have the first initial and surname on the tickets.

I am about to book a Christmas break with on the beach website. The flight is with easyjet. The price includes passenger duty fuel suppliments etc but does not state if it includes hold luggage. If any one has booked a holiday with on the beach - did it include hold luggage
Thanks Sue

hi sue funnily enough i have done exactly the same thing! (lanzarote) and also with easyjet.
Im pretty much sure luggage was extra and i payed it at the time i was booking the trip it comes up when you a paying on the OTB site.
If you check you should find that it will show up on your booking summary they email you. mine says that it includes 1 bag to go in the hold.
If you have a problem or need to add luggage you will need to ring easyjet as your booking wont show up through their website as it was booked by OBT in your behalf.
Hope this helps ive had a couple of really confused moments with OTB ;)

Hi

I am flying with easyjet in november to Tenerife and was wondering if anyone has any opinions on easyjets 'speedy boarding' service. I am a very nervous flyer and where i sit on a flight is quite important to me, and as easyjet offer 'free seating' im starting to get anxious that i will get stuck at the back of the plane! This is why i opted for paying the extra for speedy boarding but just wondered if anyone has ever used this service and what they think.....

Thanks in advance....

Hi Rachel,

I don't use the speedy boarding myself but think that you have done the right thing as you are very nervous, when boarding be very positive of where you want to sit, don't hesitate and you should have no trouble what's so ever, enjoy the flight and have a good holiday, everything will be fine

Rachel, flown with easyjet once, didn't use speedy boarding personally but it definitely gave those who did a head start/first choice of the seats.

Speedy is worth it if your bothered about the exact seat your in but I think it'd be incredibly hard luck to not get a seat together, though last time I flew easyjet the Speedy Boarding check-in had a massive queue and there was no-one in the normal queue

One thing I'd tip is that its always worth boarding through the rear of the plane...that door is open for a reason, use it! Admittidley landing abroad with a front entrance jetty is a pain but no big worry

:tup to Easyjet cabin crew on 1020 flight from Copenhagen to Stansted on 5th August. Hubby decided he wanted us to sit on front row which meant hand luggage had to go in overhead locker, no problem with that. I also had bumbag round my waist which had pouch holding ipod and accesories attached to it. 1 member of crew said that it had to go in overhead locker and I said that it had my ipod which I didn't want to get damaged if big bags in locker moved in flight. She said ok. Another member of cabin crew then comes over and said that it had to go in locker and I started to say what about my ipod, she then said that she was putting it in their overhead locker which is actually above the seats opposite and I was ok with that as my bumbag was on the top so no chance of ipod getting damaged. think first memebr of staff might have asked the 2nd what ruling was, bumbag was attached round my waist. I asked if I could have bumbag down once seat belt signs were off and was told this would be ok. Seat belt signs go off and without me having to ask, cabin crew got my bumbag down for me. seat belt signs came on for landing and again cabin crew put bumbag in their locker.
