There's a bloke in Elounda called, I think, Manos who has an S600 Merc that you may be able to book direct with him. He is, I am told, dead reliable and a nice bloke.

Elounda was very nice in June, the folk at the OGA were great. I frequented Elemans a bit more this time, only a small place near the church, but it's nice.

I have had transfers by coach between Herak and Elounda of 3+ hours. We do it in about 1.20 - 1.40 and we drive slow. A taxi will drive faster and for part of the way the roads are dual (type) carraigeways but with all the will in the world it is as far as it is.

Google Earth it and look.

I know someone (Yes you Mr Oikonomakis !!) who claims to have done it in about 40 mins, in an M3, but that is just plain daft and so is he so I have no doubt it's true.

However for road going vehicles of a standard nature it will take about 75 mins if you know the way and don't get lost or stuck in Malia.

We had a pre booked taxi transfer with Manos in July this year, return price was £100 and the journey took 1 hour.
