I regularly read this forum, but so far have never posted. However, my wife and I have just returned from a short break to Norfolk.

Has anyone else realised what a wonderful, and underated part of the world this is?

The countryside was not the best (bit flat for my liking) but the coast was stunning with some good walks, and there was always a good pub at the end of each trail!

But the highlight for us was a two-day stay in Norwich, a surprisingly cosmopolitan city that judging by the new builds and shops seems to be a city on the up. Great restuarants and bars, and plenty to see including some briliant art galleries.

If you are looking for a city break in England, you could do a lot worse than Norwich and Norfolk.

For more info, I suggest taking a look at http://www.visitnorwich.co.uk which has all the info you need, including hotels.

And if anyone is interested, I'd happily recommend the George hotel: http://www.arlingtonhotelgroup.co.uk Its not the finest place I've stayed, but its well located and the staff are very friendly.
