On the advice of my dermatologist I use a No7 moisturiser from Boots which has an SPF15 on a daily basis all year round - they do them for a range of skin types. When on holiday or even in strong sunshine here, I use in addition one of their specialist facial suncreams with an SPF of 25. And being a belt and braces sort of person I also wear a big brimmed sunhat on his advice too! This regime works well for me and many people assume that I'm younger than I am simply because of the condition of my skin.

However, it's worth bearing in mind that smoking will do just as much to age your skin as the sun will. So, if you are a smoker, using a higher SPF cream will make little difference - the damage and accelerated ageing will continue regardless of how much you protect your complexion from the sun.

I live in Spain and I use a proper sun cream in addition to a normal face cream. I don't feel the face creams with added protection actually give enough protection if it's at all sunny.
I give my usual moisturiser time to soak in then use a Piz Buin All Day Long on top. If I was actually sunbathing though, rather than just going about my daily business I would use it more than once a day, just to be on the safe side.

Hi

I am not a smoker never smoked at all but wearing contact lenses means i do stretch the skin around my eyes aswell.

I use Elemis/Liz Earle stuff all year around but this has no spf so cant use on holiday

I have been sent a £5 voucher for no7 from boots so will have a look around

I use Johnsons SPF 15 when I'm on my hols but to be honest my usual daily face cream that I use all year has SPF15 in it but I prefer to use proper suncream on hols. Not that I let my face get any sun really - I wear hats and if I'm lying in the sun I always have my face covered (that's the best defence against wrinkles, there's always Johnsons holiday skin for face......)

I ordered the Elemis TSV from QVC on Sunday and it has the Liquid Layer SPF30 in it.:D I'm a Decleor addict and have their suncream designed specifically for the face (SPF30) and I wear that instead of a moisturiser when on holiday - it's brilliant! :P

I'm going to try the Elemis product and see what that's like - it might be better for using over a moisturiser which is great when just walking about rather than going to the beach.

I also have the Elemis sun wrinkle cream which you've spoken about - that's SPF25 and is very nice, but I prefer the Decleor product instead. I'm having a full body massage next week :love2 and will be buying one or two more sun products to take away with me. I lived in South Africa for 13 years whilst growing up and therefore know how important SPFs are. I never use anything less than SPF15 on my body and SPF25 on my face.

Lyn, i'm rubbish at doing links

On the suncare page, it is the 3rd picture from the end. Face moisture cream £9.00 BOGOF. I like it because normal suncream for the body seems too greasy and makes my eyes sting

If you put 'Comeback' for the voucher code, it is Free p&p plus 10% off today :D

Let me know if you can't find it.

I have just used this product for 2 weeks in Fuerteventura - I hate using thick suncreams on my face; this one was nice and light and left my skin soft but not greasy. I'll probably get some more before we go to Ibiza in August.
In my Avon book the current offer on Bronze is 2 for £10, 3 for £13 or 4 for £15.
I have also used another Avon product on my face - it's a 'tint-releasing' moisturiser with SPF20 - not really high enough for on holiday but good to use at home.
