Hey guys is there anyone flying out to protaras around the end of aug? i cant wait to go as ive never been to Cyprus in my life

I'm sure there is someone going to Protaras then, can't remember who.
This might be your first time but I doubt if it will be your last; one visit is

I'm considering a first time holiday in a quiet area of Cyprus next spring- I am told Paphos might be suitable. I would be looking for a self catering one bedroomed apartment for two people near to some restaurants because I do not wish to cook while I'm on holiday. I would be grateful if anyone can suggest some places that might be suitable. MyraLock
Pafos is one of the Busiest area's for something a bit quieter try Permera you will find lots of info by using the search facility

Ooh, im with Wizard on this one. Pernera, a little resort in itself, just a little further along the coast from Protaras and the busy "strip", would be ideal for you. Quieter than Protaras itself, but still plenty of shops, bars, and quality restaurants.

Protaras / pernera are quieter resorts then paphos and ayia napa and if you are looking for something quiet and traditional there a a lot of smaller villages to choose from
yeah i agree i went to paphos this year and its not the quietest place to go if its a quiet holiday you want.

If you are thinking of the Paphos area, I can recommend http://www.apollonia-apts.com/ these apartments are all holiday lets and are about 5 - 10 mins walk to the main restaurants and bar street, there are also restaurants within 2 mins!
I can also highly recommend this company, they have apartments (private let) in areas that are walking distance to everything, some are near Tomb of Kings

We have stayed in apartment Kelly which is on the same complex as Alina, its walking distance to supermarket, restaurants, we can walk to the harbour area and it's near the bus route. They have quite a variety of places and really look after their clients.

about 82 cents to the £
you can check the up to date rate and calculate you prices on http://www.xe.com/ucc/ its a great site
Apollonia are in cypriot pounds, but the other site http://www.cyp4u.co.uk/ is in English pounds.
If you are planning to stay within a resort avoid Paphos and Coral Bay itself - they are quite commercialised. I would recommend Latchi or Pissouri as they are less commercialised and both have good quiet beaches (fairly stoney but clean) and scenic views. Only down side is they are fairly remote if you do not have a vehicle.
