Final thought - Can try Air Transat out of Manchester. Showing 475 pounds on my system 3 weeks in June (Fiday departure). Zoom airlines from Manchester and Glasgow and Gatwick should also cover Vancouver (not checked them)

Other possible routing (and there are a lot) is using United out of Hethrow with choices of connections en route.
