Thank you Barney, we are on Indian Airlines IC163 so we will check the bags in at terminal 2 as you advised, and jump in a taxi to terminal 1, if there is a long wait for a transfer bus, we've got a few rupees left over from last year to cover the cab ride.
So thanks again, it's put hubby's mind at ease now we know what to do.  However, he is now worried about how he is going to survive a whole month without a pint of "Old Speckled Hen".

we flew from Mumbai to Goa in January and pre booked our flights. We flew with Spicejet and got tickets for approx £27 each way. There are offices for the domestic airways at the domestic terminal but when we were there they seemed to be very busy. I would recommend pre-booking and having the peace of mind. We rang India and booked online with Spicejet, and got an email ticket. Hope that's useful
