My advice would be to get away from Great Yarmouth for food and head over towards Wroxham, Aylsham, Coltishall and the surrounding areas for restaurants. It will be a 20-30min drive but you will visit some of the best country pubs/restaurants in Norfolk in the likes of Chequers, Recruiting Sargent and the Skeyton Goat.
Just google them for directions from Yarmouth etc. Well worth visiting.
hi, JayneCAFC, its good to hear about the weather hopefully we will be lucky and get good weather. we have booked it through the sun £9.50 hols so will hopefully get our choice, we put down to go either end june-beggining july, end july or begining sept.

Cheers.
we stayed at the vauxhall holiday park july 07, we love it but it was when we had the floods and all the horrendous weather. our tent was almost blown away if it wasnt for the awning straps we had bought. there is a good asda opposite if not a little hard to get to - but there is a huge tesco extra on the road over the lift bridge as if heading to lowestoft.
we love great yarmouth and have been many times - hemsby is also great for its beach.
we love to have coffee at one of the many beach cafes whilst the kids play on yarmouths 5* beach
there is so much to do whatever the weather. we will return again and definately to vauxhall - the entertainment and facilities are 5* too. happy holidays

Hi does anyone know of any caravan parks around vauxhall holiday park that have a clean site and clean caravans/chalets
We phoned vauxhall holiday park today to book for week starting 23rd august but they only have 4 days available from 26th august so have booked that but need somewhere to stay from 23rd to 26th,my mum is really fussy as we stayed at hemsby a couple of years ago in chalets and it was filthy.

We stayed several years running at Cherry Tree at Burgh Castle - was originally a Parkdean site, became Haven for a few years and is now Parkdean again. Always found it clean and tidy with good facilities - decent indoor and outdoor pools, kids playground, mini golf, site shop - the usual. Big "Rainbow" supermarket a short drive away too
About a 15-20 min drive into Central Yarmouth from memory
