Taggy, Tony said its nice and sunny today, and forecast to stay the same for the rest of the week. Much better than the rain of the last few days. MUCH better than the horrible snow!

Cheers Kev...I'm missing them too!...Its been awful here today, & as yet there's been no probs at Blackpool Airport for Alicante Flights...so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that continues & the roads remain ok too! We've not had it as bad as your way really yet, but today has been bad!

Hi Taggy....hope you manage to get away, it's a bit of a worry with this dreadful snow and ice. Have a fab holiday.

We are going on the 28th to the Regente again and hopefully the weather will improve both here and in Beni....Caz

Managed to get booked for new year fly out 28th dec for a wk thank god prices have come down ..From 1300 to 800 2 adults full board full package with thomson For everyone going have a good one ...Mazza

Lets have a second go today!!

Re-booked on Jet2 for flight midday. Was given choice at 1pm yesterday to either stay at Blackpool in the hope that our 10am flight took off at 10pm or re-book for their flight today, didn't fancy a night at the airport with no sleep or guarantees that the flight would leave, so decided to plump for todays flight! I was lucky that i was the first in the queue as there were only 40 seats available on todays flight!

Jet2 & Blackpool Airport did as well as they could have done in making things comfortable & keeping people informed as best they could, bearing in mind they had no control & not much information themselves. They organised "Smoking Breaks" for those so inclined! Lol! By the time i was altering my flight at the desk, a lady came over to validate my car park ticket so i could exit the airport, & also to do the same for my Airport Development Fee, so i wont have to pay that again today. Also my bag was brought into the check in area for me.

I rang the Mont Park to explain the situation & they have held my Room for me for today, and i also rang Shuttledirect who have re-booked me on to a shuttle for today at no extra charge. They dont usually accept bookings less than 48 hours in advance, so i was wondering if they would accomodate these changes & glad to say they have. I will have to wait a bit longer at Airport, because they are trying to sort transfers for others in the same position. My flights due to land at 15.55 & i will have to wait for people on a 16.40 flight, but under the circumstances, i think thats pretty fair, & at least i've been told this in advance! So fingers crossed today & my Shorter break, now runs more smoothly!
