Well I've sent the visa off again for the second time. Had new photos done just in case and x2 spec delivery again. Please keep everything crossed for me that they come back ok this time.Im not wearing glasses same as last time so if they say theres glare on my specs again i give up

Sometimes my hubby just Pssssss me off, doesn't want to know what's said on HT abt visas, he says "we havent had any problems yet so it will be fine! Yes it may be, BUT if it isn't,I just KNOW who will be paying..................GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Almost hope it isn't plain sailing ------ BUT who's paying - yep, ME !!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Can I come with you?
MazD we are in exactly the same position as you with visas and we have posted back and arrived at Hayes on 18th Jan, just wondering if you have tried tracking yours yet? I have and receive the message "sorry no record found" I am keeping everything crossed that they are not being returned again!!!??

Our Bird I wouldn't worry about is showing not found they dont update the tracking system very much lol.
Yeah first time Ive ever had problems with the visas as well. Couple that with worrying if we will get more snow, strikes volcanos acts of god lol im gonna need lots honey bees to calm me down

Yippee lovely postman just delivered our visas roll on 20th feb cant wait now that the stress of the visas have gone. Posted monday 10th jan then I kept checking tracking and up until monday 17th was showing record not found was starting to panic but on tuesday 18th it said scan then wednesday processing then thursday with royal mail and received them this morning sooooooo excited now
Hi everyone, posted my Visas on the 06 January and received them on 15 January. Bought photopaper and printed off our own 2 x 2 photos from the photo ID link on here, actually ended up being easy to do the photos. Obviously okay as Visas now back with photo on Visa.
All I have to do now is wait for the 13th February until I board that flight and thoughts of my soon to be honeybee in my hands. So excited.

This Visa application process is scary, ive applied through VFS and will post my docs tomorrow. fly out on 24/02 so hope I will have plenty of time should it be returned to me. Couple of things though:
Saw on a site somewhere that if 'If the applicants passport is newer then 6 months old, the previous passport needs to be submitted as well.' is this the case?
also not all fields on the visa app online are mandatory so should you complete any others like port of exit by hand?

had our visas done begining of the month sent new passports,no probs,just filled in everything they asked for,although i meant to tick return by royal mail and did dx by mistake so payed online for that couldn't find the add on for my husband so did a seprate application and ticked royal mail for his(it had nearly taken 3hrs by now and i was losing the will to live 
)They both came back in the dx envelope and no sign of the special delivery one with all the stamps on,but i posted them 31st dec had them back 4th jan which is quite a result.Good Luck

My passport was brand new and I got my visa without sending off my old one.
excellent thanks guys, im a bit more confident now having researched most of the day and sent an email also to VFS to check whether we have to sign one or both photos and whether 3months is ok for tourist visa.
The Visa surgery is opened in Glasgow again which is great for me cos its saves me a trip through to Edinburgh.
Ours sent this afternoon, felt nervous as hell when we left the post office, worrying about what we have or have not done correctly - the waiting game begins..........again
