Very true Tony, We're just back from Thailand. Our Qatar flight next month cost £650 and we've decided that next months visit to Goa will be our last. For us sometings gone, and with the visa hassle, cost of the flights etc, the figures, for us , just dont add up any more.

email message sent at 10:30 last night. if i had been at home when postman tried to deliver them i would have had my passports for 12 hours by then. also the vfs tracking has now changed to:-
Processed application is ready for collection at Application Center London-Hayes
maybe the system needs a small tweek to get it right. obviously the system works but the timeings are all wrong.

you are so right but now can relax and look forward to goa. the new visas with photo on are smart though. WWooooooooooPPPPPeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!
Is anyone else having trouble accessing VFS Global. I have filled forms in up to save and exit stage, but now when i try to retrieve forms, I cant get into the log in stage. Only as far as I agree terms, click on that wait a while then lose connection with internet.

yes pretty polly. this seems to be the norm at the moment. and preacher i have just been on vfs and it did the same to me. must be there web site down.
Mine is now processed and sent to the HCI for final assessment
We had an email sent last night to say that our applications have now been sent to the HCI for processing. Hopefully, we will have our visas within the next few days.
I tracked the VFS website this morning, and apparently mine are still with the High Commission for further assessment.
Better double check that the passports and visas I received on Friday are actually mine!!!

just got my final sms message to tell me that vfs have sent my passports back to me on 13/10/11. ive had my passports in my hand since saturday morning. maybe it would be quicker if they sent the messages by pidgeon post!!!!!!!!!!!!. still have got them now so alls well but if you have your passports in the system at the moment dont panic if you dont hear anything from vfs.

Fully agree Smudger. The tracking system is probably adding further stress to peoples applications as they don't appear on the system for about 5 days. I was beginning to worry that my passports had got lost in the system.
My passports are apparently still with the High Commission, so not all together helpful. I'm glad I didn't pay the £1.50 for SMS messages.

Has anyone used the DX Postal return offered by VFS for the return of passport? Still haven't been sent a tracking reference number to check to progress of return of my passport Had one email to say it had been sent to HCI and one today to say it had been processed and returned to VFS!!!

I paid for the dx and sms service and it was pretty accurate better than the tracking, dx sent me a text at 7am the day they were supposed to deliver the passports with their tracking number, unfortunatly they did'nt turn up, when i called them they said they had a problem with the courier
Got them the following day courier was a young girl in a clapped out car
