Shop stewards at BAA have urged thousands of workers - including firefighters, security, administrative and maintenance workers to strike.
The possible date for the strike will be Dec 27th; and airports affected will be Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Southampton and Stanstead.
The strike is being called in protest at BAA's proposal to end Final Salary Pension Schemes. The ballot will close on Dec 20th.
God, being VERY selfish, I do hope they don't decide to do anything prior to Christmas!

At the moment, the only thing certain is that a ballot is being conducted. Until such time as the result of that ballot is known, it would be inappropriate to speculate on possible dates of any strike action, as this only causes unnecessary worry and panic amongst holidaymakers booked to travel on those dates.
