Hi!
We're going on our first all girlie holiday 2nd week in June and have no idea where to go! We are looking in Ibiza/Greek Island or similar (no further than Europe) that's a bit 'cosmopolitan'. We're all in our late 20's and want to be able to go out for a meal and go for a drink in bars that aren't overrun with the type of people you see on the '... Uncovered' programmes!
Ideally we're looking for a clean 4 berth appartment, so we're not separated, and would like a balcony and nice pool. Happy to stay a short walk from the town for peace in the day but it would need to be somewhere safe as my karate skills are somewhat lacking!
Local travel agents have mentioned Kos (Kardamena) and Zante (Laganas) and a friend has mentioned San Antonio (Ibiza) but when I've read reviews they pretty much list the things we don't want.
Any advice/recommendations is greatly appreciated!
Why not try and google it do a bit of research yourself

Thank you! I always try and get some useful info from you guys and, for the most part, people are very helpful! I've been given a couple of ideas already that we're following up - most appreciated!
i think ibiza town would be ideal,very cosmopolitan and upmarket.fabulous restaurants.try ibiza spotlight for accomadation,you wont see any oiks there,but you might bump into a millionair yacht owner.

Or Playa de'n Bossa. One of the big Fiesta hotels which are right on the beach but actually out of the main town centre!
I think theres the Don Toni, Palmeras Playa and I think The beach Club!
Busses are frequent to Ibiza town and Playa De'n Bossa is a family sort of resort but with discos and nightclubs if you need them!!

I would have to agreed with mobeck, ibiza town has the right balance of party night life and a cosmopolitan atmoshphere with loads of shopping.
there are some great places to eat and drink around dalt vila (which is the big castle) and the types of places range from busy bustling bars on the harbour front to quite intimate and cosy bars and restaurants set a bit further back around teh 'gay area' which is very friendly.
Ibiza town is more multinational aswell and you certainly wont find the palce overun by british chava's or lager louts. You will find some great hotels just next to ibiza town in figueretas or talamanca which are either side of the town but only 10 mins walk into it. Plus of course if your into clubbing they you have the world renound Pacha or El divino on your doorstep which is for the more mature clientelle....like me!!
dont automatically right off san antonio though, it has some great places and reallyisnt like the programmes you see on tv, there are basically a couple of streets which is like any uk town centre but apart from that it is a very diverse resort where you can either party and sit and watch the sun set in chill out bars.
If you book diy, it works out cheaper and there is a host of sites that specialise in apartments whether private rentals or through hotels etc, try having a look at alpharooms.com or wintersunshineholidays.com for some good accomodation, and use skyscanner.net to find the cheapest flights from your nearest airport.
I think you will find more in ibiza than either Kardamena or zante (ive been to both), the upside is that as the island is very small you can travel around it in a day and visit a host of different types of other resorts and sites....just go there...you will love it

i stayed in ibiza san antonia bay which is quiter when i was twenty it was lovely it was only when we went into the town i realised the bad reputation was very true but a holiday is what you make it...

Roadie Girl you dont know what your missing.overrun with the type of people you see on the '... Uncovered' programmes that was years ago and was blown up some what.you will never meet a more very cosmopolitan and upmarket people that go to ibiza.its not just san an.
