Arrived back this morning from sunny beach, The best place for changing money is the COOP bank in the central plaza offering 2.86 levs to the £ all hotels offering 2.75, no problems with the amount of £'s wanting to be changed and no limits top or bottom. weather last week allways sunny and in the 09's every day. Nessbar is 3 kilometers away.... by taxi do not pay any more than 15 levs .. local bus 0.50cents .. boat trip across the bay 20 levs .. local bus to Bourgas the neartest large town 45 kilometers away 3 levs takes about 45 mins .. not bad for just over a pound .. beer from 1.50 levs to 2.50 levs a pint but the bonus is watch the boards outside bars " buy one get one free "... on the down side outside every bar / restraunt one to three people pushing menus in your face and trying to get you in .. oustide every shop the people are the same trying to get you in .. friut sellers from baskets follow you all over .. it is impossible just to go for a walk .. if you go to bourgas then beware of the children they keep following you begging for money. If you you use local buses then take change as a number of people complained that tyhey gave the conducter a 20 lev note and only gave change for a ten .. all in all a pretty good place and would be even better if you could actually walk around without any hassle.
