Hi, We will be arriving in Protaras at around 10pm at night, we are staying at the Vangelis, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there would be any supermarkets open at this time near by, just to get some basics eg. milk/bread etc

Most bakeries are open 24/7. They tend to stock all the basics.
Peripteros (kiosks) and mini-markets generally close by around 10 or 11 pm.

We left a couple of weeks ago and it was 11ish they closed as well as the tacky shops.
When we were being picked up by the coach in Pernera at around 3 in the morning we noticed several kiosks open on the main "back" road - i.e., not the bar strip, but the main road that runs behind it. The kiosks we saw open were on the way to Pernera -i.e. if you're walking up the strip towards the Sphinx and McDonalds, turn right when you reach the main road.
Either they open very early, or they're 24 hour places - I'd guess the latter.
