Hi, we are going to LC this June,staying at El Mirador.This will be our first visit to this area,we usually come in the winter to the Puerto Colon area.Can anyone recommend decent bars and restaurants in this area which are not too pricey,we are in our early fifties so we dont need info on clubs or anything like that,just nice bars with reasonable prices.

hi we have come back 3 weeks ago from cristanos out side your apartments are quite a few bars taylors is a good bar harveys further up is manhatten
but if you want a cheap bar go down to the front where charlies bar is go left and there is big ben pub john smiths and specked hen 2 euros a pint san maguil 1 euro a pint local spirits with mixer 3 euros and as a good athmosphe in there
eating out la brasirea nr to cristen sur is good normally have to book
olive garden on front also on front promanade and miami are good as well

and if you want supermarkets thee is spar at top and by the bus station hypo domo as well

Thanks for that,1 euro a pint sounds good to me! 
The weather is quite different in June - so much warmer and drier but the ElMirador apartments are lovely

Was just wondering about mosquitoes in June, we have never been troubled in winter but what about summer, are there loads of them about?
