The weather in the last two weeks of September should be good. You have to remember though that you are in the month before the season traditionally ends (October) so it's not 100% gauranteed. July and August you are almost certainly sure to get excellent weather. Shops, bars, trips all open for business in September.

Last 2 weeks of September everything will still be open, bars, restaurants, trips etc, same as in the height of the season. Its in October that things start to wind down, but still don't close entirely until end of October. Its much more bearable weather in September as well, compared to July and August.

Hi Alison55, we have been visiting Turkey for the last 15 years always in September either week 2 & 3, 3 & 4 or the last week & first week in October. The bars are all still open but winding down a little towards October. The weather is usually great late 20s to early 30s with the occassional half rainy or cloudy day but the rest clear blue skies, that is in exception of last year which for most of the last week of our 2 week visit (starting Sept 15th) was rainy, cloudy and thunder and lightening but a lot was spoken about that as it was not normal. Good luck
