Hi, I don't know where you'll be flying from or to, whether it will be into Galway or Knock but both are handy for the west coast.I can't be much help with the musical side of things but if you put a posting on the Ireland forum on Tripadvisor i'm sure you'll get a good response, good luck Maggie

Dingle in Kerry is renowned as a place where musicians gather and play, it also has the advantage of being in a particularily wonderfull location. Having said there are musical sessions in pubs all over west coast

Hi Ian ... as pato suggests, there are traditional music sessions in bars throughout Ireland. Visiting musicians are usually always welcome. However, it may take a bit of planning to be able to catch a session on 10 consecutive nights, as some smaller towns may for example only have bars with a midweek or a weekend session. It would be worth looking into Dingle as suggested, perhaps also Ennis, Tralee, Westport, Killarney, Sligo, to mention just a few. In addition to local sessions, you may be able to coincide your visit with one of the many music festivals which take place, particularly in July and August. It may be worth contacting some of these websites for further information:

Depending on where you are travelling from, you may be able to take advantage of flights to Shannon, Galway, Cork, Sligo, Kerry, Knock or Donegal airports.
