Left my house at midnight for the 4 hour drive to Heathrow so I was absolutely knackered before I even started! Flight delayed 2 hours by reported technical problem, no worries, just had a badly needed sleep! Being delayed meant less time to hang around Doha so wasn't a problem for me. Doha transfer was very easy and being on my own I was glad of that! Arrived silly o'clock in the morning, head buzzing and left my handbag on the plane
got it back though. Slept for hours when I arrived at the guest house which I don't normally do as I like to get into Goa time as quickly as possible.Spent all of my holiday just chilling out by the pool and visiting friends as after a rotton year here this is all I wanted to do. Went to Old Goa for the Feast and Mass with Goan friends/family which was lovely. Most of Goa seemed to be there so I wondered how everyone could take communion at the same time, they did, it was the most organised thing I have ever seen happen in Goa
Afterwards took the children around the fair and market which was amazing, totally different to going to Ingo's and was great fun.Polly50's party was a riot and everyone made such an effort with their fancy dress. A very enjoyable night and great to catch up with everyone again. There is nowhere quite like Goa for a celebration and this was definitely a "never to be forgotten" night.
A bit more to follow when I have time! Fizz
(Glad to hear about the handbag
