my parents are early 40s. im actually quite jealous cause i want to go to ayia napa this year but its working out abit costly.
they dont want to go clubbing but they do like lively entertainment
Greenshoes,
Your parents will love it then at that age. I'm 39 and i loved it, especially the square. At the back of the square is a great bar called jasmins at 11.00pm it goes mad. And they have popcorn on the tables and people throw it one another. I know how it sounds but you have to be there to believe it.

Hi Greenshoes
Your parents will love this hotel. I stayed there this summer for two weeks and was really pleased with the hotel. It is a 3* and for Cyprus a really good 3*. We found a real mix of people from young clubbers; families; couples and older people - your parents will fit in nicely. The bar is now called Pepper and gets really busy every night although you don't hear the noise inside the hotel. The restaurant is great and they do about 4 buffet nights outside per week one of which is carvery night and it only costs £C8.00 per person. The staff were friendly and helpful and the maid service was pretty good (although it does take them all day with the amount of 'do not disturb' signs!). My only negative comment is the lack of sunbeds - for the amount of rooms there definitely is not enough - need to get out early to get your towel down.
A really good bar is the Golden Arrow across the road - it plays music and has a really friendly family orientated feel about it - Charlie the owner always treats his customers well and the waiting staff are good. The food is also good an quite cheap. Hope all this helps - you should really try to get out with your parents as it is a fab place to go.

Have just booked for Napa Plaza for next July.
We were there in 2002 & 2003 when it was the Napia Star and couldn't fault it then especially in 2002 when our son came out in chicken pox 2 days before we were due to fly home and me and him has to stay at the hotel for an extra 5 days, shame(not!).After two years break(holidays in Santa Ponsa,Mallorca our now joint favourite) we are looking forward to seeing how good the refurb is.
Totally agree with Lesley G's comments and def recommend the Golden Arrow across the road. Some friends of ours were there a few weeks back and the staff were asking where we were and that is after 2 years away(ok we had been there for 4 years before).

thanks for the comments
It is really nice after its refurb and is really clean and modern. The bar is now called pepper and is young a lively situated on a deck area to the front of the hotel, the restaurant that used to be the VIP is gone and is now a mexican - didn't eat in as nothing could beat Los Bandidos but it was always busy - check out the napa plaza website it has good photos
Greenshoes,
Came back from napa plaza last night - gutted!
Fab location, fab hotel - many couples of ALL ages, a few children and 1 or 2 groups of single people!
My girlfriend and I are 31 and like both going for quiet meals and lively nights - this location is ideal for whatever they want to do and only a 5 min walk from ayia napa beach or 2 min taxi ride from nissi beach!
Stylish rooms and decor, nice people and excellent value for money!

My son got married out in Cyprus 1996 and we all stayed at the then Napia Star. We have been back nearly every year since, sometimes twice a year. They have spent a lot of money on the refurbishment of the now Napa Plaza. They hotel is lovely and the staff are very very friendly.
There are about thirty of us booked to go back in May next year to celebrate my son and daughter in laws 10th wedding anniversary. I don't know may people who visit the Napa Plaza and don't return for a second visit. It's just like going home. Most visits we see the same people round the pool who have been going for years.

Hi,
Wondered if anyone has an up to date email address for this hotel ?
I've been on the website and the address given info@napaplaza.com doesn't work as they keep getting returned. I even tried adding .cy at the end to see if that worked but still no good
Thanks in advance

I'm having the same problem with that email address !
Hi sapphire510
No,I didn't manage to get a succesfull email contact with the Napa Plaza but have booked a package to go there 23rd July next year through Sky Holidays(part of Libra) for just over £1700 for two adults and one child. Some T.O's were quoting nearly £3000!
Priced accomodation only with Olympic and that was quite reasonable at about £880 but struggled to get flights with it being first week of school hols.

Hey everyone!
Me and my girlfriend are staying at these apartments for two weeks in July and just wanted alittle info. I've been to Ayia Napa twice before and stayed in apartments. The apartments where pretty basic but offered entertainment for younger holiday makers. The played music by the pool, had happy hours and reps came in and out to let you know of events and things. Just wanted to know if this hotel offered any 'younger' entertainment?
The hotel looks really nice and pretty trendy but is it quite and mature? For example do they insist that you keep quite next to pool, charge alot for food and drink and what sort of age group stay at this hotel in the summer months?
Any help would be great. Thanks

i stayed at this hotel in september for 7 nights with my friend, we are both 17, although alot of the people staying there were older couples but they didnt seem to mind us playing our music or anything round the pool, i would be certain there would be younger people there in july which should liven the place up a bit!
youve made the right choice going there tho, its in a fab location and the hotel and staff are absolutely fantastic!!!

Stayed here in September and they are fantastic, you have made a excellent choice. They have a entertainments team that are on the go round the pool and this gets very lively, cant say much about the entertainment on a evening though has we always went out into the square. I will be deffo staying here the next time we go to Cyprus
