Its got to be Scotland. If anyone knows how to see in the new year its the Scots! Most places seem really expensive but they do include A Hogmany knees up with all your food and drink thrown in. I was going up there but cant get the time off now. Just type in Scottish Hotels into your search engine and hundreds come up all with special new year deals.

Thanks Sally. I've been to Edinburgh once before and it did cross my mind for New Year. However it's an 8 hour plus drive from us and the flights over New Year are too expensive. We've more or less decided to stay in Wales and will probably go to Tenby (on the coast) where we enjoyed a fantastic New Year last year. We're in the process of searching for accomodation now. Thanks anyway.

hi i dont know what sort of night your looking for but i live in newquay cornwall and new year is the best time of year everyone get dressed up in fancy dress and the whole place has a good time and is happy
