Newark or JFK

Hi firestars

Personally I'd always choose to fly into Newark rather than into JFK - friendlier, shorter queues through immigration and you get better views as you drive into the city. If it's cost of the taxi that's determining your choice, I think it's a bit cheaper to go from JFK into the city but I'm sure someone else will be able to confirm this...

I too would opt for Newark - we had our first New York trip 3 weeks ago. We flew from Manchester with Continental - great service (at Newark to come home they have self service counters, you pick your seats, print off your luggage label and bung your cases on the line - fab, you are checked in and rid of your case in less than 5 mins).

Yes, U2fan is right, Newark is the most expensive cab ride (we paid $57 plus tolls & tip). Make sure you go to the offical cab line - you can't miss it, come out of the terminal and over the road you'll see a little booth with a guy who'll take your destination and give you a slip of paper to give to the driver. Don't take up any offers from the guys loitering in the terminal, they'll rip you off.
To go back to the airport we used Carmel limo - recommended on trip advisor. I just called them the day we left to book and they were bang on time.

I've not used Zoom for USA flights but my hubby has flown to Canada with them and said they were fine.
