Hey, I'm travelling to Costa Adeje (Gran Hotel) on July 10th this year and in previous years we've always taken a small amount of money in the native currency and then got money changed at the destination as it seems to be alot better exchange rate, is this the case with Tenerife also?
If so is there somewhere nearby to get money changed?

yes dom generally it is........ rate was 1.44 yesterday..... money exchange places are everywhere, you wont have a ploblem finding one !
its 1.48 in the uk at the moment 
1.44 if u change over £400
I usually find that you can get a slightly better rate in the UK (London anyway) I usually get some cash but take most in Travellers Cheques as it is more convenient, but usually the rate is not quite as good when I get out to Tenerife.
