Hi all,
I sold my last camcorder after mexico so I am planning on getting a new one for my visit to thailand on may 3rd. i have a good quality digital camera and underwater housing that I will be taking - the underwater housing was the best thing I ever bought for my holiday in mexico, great snorkelling with it and kayaking, it does take great video also just like a camcorder and to be honest I did use it alot more than the camcorder I took, but the card only holds upto 2gb so want something that holds bigger!

I would appriciate any feedback...
I'm concerned about the humidity in thailand so me thinks waterproof equipment might be better!
What does everyone else use???

I can't really help as we use our digital camera for video clips.
I used to take my old Super VHS beastie...main problem I had was going from air conditioned to outside tempertures as it took some time for lens and viewfinders to un-fog. Don't bother these days just take a small digital camera which is fine for the odd video clip.
I have used hi 8 cannon and for last 5years a cannon mini dv with not trouble at all when you leave air con/room allow time for lens to clear and will be fine have been all over thailand am going back for month july you will love it there barry

We are going to pattaya we use tis as our basewe get 10days free st our hotel so wee use this time to travel to loas vietnam singarpore burma we have traveled all over thailnd from pattaya to the north with our thai friends that live in pattaya this yeay thinking of trip to penang but not sure yet as friend kanya has own tour com so we tie up with her when we arrive

Have you thought about buying extra memory cards for your camera? Much cheaper than buying a camcorder!
