Hi all
I work nights and for the last few hours have been listening to 5 live radio
AS of 3 o-clock this morning XL have ceased trading, and all their planes are grounded perminantly .
and the staff are redundant

I hear that XL have posted advice on their webpage
but what Ive been listening to it sounds bad

They have been interviewing families at airports who have no flights to board, and even a XL pilot who said that the inbound crews when they land will find they have no jobs, as indeed he did when he landed earlier
Also all future bookings no longer exist which could be as many as 40,000
This is on going breaking news in all the news media
