Do I have to supply airline of passport details?

Hi All
I am travelling to Spain in a couple of weeks, booked a last minute holiday.
Heard something quite some time ago you had to supply passport details in advance with the airline or something. Am I correct, or have I heard
it wrong?
Went to Ibiza June 2007 didn't have to then
Travel agent didn't mention anything.
Just checking on this, just in case. :que

We returned home from Portugal 3 weeks ago :cry and didn't have to do that Dawnie-Rob.
To be honest, I've never heard of it.

If you're worried though, best check with the travel agent, or check on the airlines website.
